Well after quite a newsworthy day in the NHL world on Friday, it was a much quieter day today.

The only real thing being talked about is the NHL Hub Cities. Apparently it is down to 6 cities and three Canadian cities are on that list.

We’ll see how it all goes. Fair bit of time until the next phase etc. I’m really curious how they will schedule it. With no crowds I guess you could have matinee games. I’d be down for some sort of all day hockey deal.

of course knowing the NHL they’ll end up putting games against each other or something.

It was a 1-1 day yesterday with my Bundesliga bets. Augsburg delivered while Frankfurt did not.

I’ve covered tomorrows EPL again over at BetSoccer.ca. I never even thought that I could have covered the UFC here yesterday. Watching that right now.

I’m going to look at Serie A and La Liga for Sunday. There are 2 Serie A games and 3 La Liga games so going to run through all 5 and do quick write-ups and see if anything worth betting.

Serie A Bets: June 21, 2020

Atalanta vs Sassuolo: Sassuolo are mid-table and really not much to play for at the moment. Atalanta are 4th and battlign for a European spot. Still enough games to go to change the league around of coruse. Sassuolo actually had a great run of form pre-break. Atalanta are quite rightly heavy favourites. They have the highest xG in the leagu eand most goals scored. Sassuolo aren’t too shabby at scoring either. The odds on this one are pretty weak at 1.66 but I don’t hate Both Teams to Score.

Inter Milan vs Sampdoria: Inter Milan have had a good long time to think about that crushing loss to Juventus. They lost 2-0 to them before the break just following a loss to Lazio. This has effectively ended their title hopes bar a miracle. Sampdoria are in the battle against relegation and just 1 point above. Inter have a great defense. The odds on BTTS is better here at 1.95 but I don’t have much faith in Sampdoria. No bet for me.

La Liga Bets: June 21, 2020

Celta Vigo vs Alaves Celta Vigo are yet to score post pandemic. Alaves got that big 2-0 win over Real Sociedad. That should keep Alaves from relegation while Celta are struggling. Celta have the worst offense in the league. Celta re-signed Nolito although I don’t know if he’ll be invovled. At 1.80 odds I’m happy to back Alaves or Draw.

Valencia vs Osasuna: Valencia and Osasuna come into this one on the back of a couple of hidings. I think Valencia come good here. They’re missing quite a few players including Lee Kang-In who got suspended and we will see some changes. I’m going with Valencia to win at 1.90 odds. The only real concern is that home/away isn’t really a factor anymore and Valencia are stronger at home. I’m willing to risk it.

Real Sociedad vs Real Madrid: These two have had some high scoring games in recent times. back in February Real Sociedad beat them 4-3 in a great match. That’s the type of match where the crowd really helps. Sociedad have struggled post pandemic and Real Madrid just look professional. I’m good with Madrid to win even at 1.66 odds.
