We had one combined pick yesteday of the Golden Knights to defeat the Colorado Avalanche.
The Knights had to comeback from behind and scored two goals in 45 seconds to do just that in a big one.
Scott skipped the Habs/Jets game. Graeme tipped the over while stating ” Enjoy your double in regulation shutout. ” and it came very close to that. That’s him done with overs for the playoffs.
We have two Game 4s today as the Lightning host the Hurricanes and the Islanders host the Bruins.
Let’s get to it:
Islanders vs Bruins Game 4 Betting Tips:
Scott: I went with Over 5 in game 3 and of course both goalies had strong games and it stayed under.
Varlamov made some huge saves for the Isles but for the 4th time in his 4 starts this postseason he gave up a early goal allowing one in the first 3 shots he faced. Can’t blame him for the overtime goal as that was a crazy angle.
With the series still in New York and the teams trading wins so far I see no reason not to back the Isles. They really don’t won’t to go down 3-1 in the series when the series moves back to Boston for game 5.
Islanders win incl OT
Graeme: A relatively close series. If we look through the advanced metrics – when it comes to Corsi and Fenwick, Bruins are better. However Islanders have changed in terms of HDCF and xG over the last two games and that is good to see. They’re able to figure out ways to get the chances in.
It’s a close enough series; Bruins are slightly better. I’d say Islanders should be underdog but more in the 2.15 range. Maybe 2.20 max. So with that I see slight value and as I like to bet on each game if only for the entertainment value, I’d go for Islanders win incl OT.

Lightning vs Hurricanes Game 4 Betting Tips:
Scott: The Canes picked up their first win so I wonder if they will build off of the momentum they gained.
The Canes scored the first 2 goals only to have the Lightning answer with 2 of their own.
With the way the Lightning responded to being down by 2 I like them to win this game but I don’t have a pile of confidence in taking them to win in regulation as all 3 games so far have been decided by a single goal and game 3 went to overtime.
No Bet
Graeme: It was good to see the Canes win and make it a series. I’m just not sure if they can do it two in a row.
My gut says Tampa gets back on track and takes the win here. Can’t bet them incl OT though so that would have to be in regulation. I just don’t have the confidence to back them here enough for that.
So I’d say the slightest of leans on Tampa in regulation. But while the Islanders pick I do believe has value I don’t feel as confident in that one. So No Bet.
