Tampa made a big third period comeback yesterday and were able to get the win over the New York Rangers.
It was an intense one. A deserved win for Tampa as after a very close first two periods, they just looked the much better and hungrier team in the 3rd.
In terms of entertainment, hopefully we see them win Game 4 and keep things going.
Speaking of – we see a Game 4 tonight and the potential end of the Edmonton Oilers in the NHL playoffs.
Avalanche vs Oilers Bets:
Scott: Well the Oilers are really in trouble now. The Avs are up 3-0 in the series and they have won the last 2 games with Francouz starting as Kuemper is out.
The Oilers played well despite losing. Kane received a 5 minute major for boarding but the Avs were unable to score.
Smith will receive lots of blame if and when the Oilers get eliminated but it’s not all his fault. The team in front of him needs to play better defensively.
With the Oilers on the brink of elimination they really have to dig deep or they will be swept. The Avs need to put the final nail in the coffin as the Oilers are a team capable of going on a run and they can’t let that happen. Game 1 was a banger but the next 2 were lower scoring. If the Oilers want to extend the series they’ll need to score.
Over 6.5 incl OT
Graeme: It’s crazy to say it after that Flames series and Game 1 of this one – but man, the Oilers just cannot get the goals going against the Avs. They’re not creating the chances needed at all.
With their inability to get the chances in these last two games, I just can’t back that over. I really hope it does come in though and we get one more classic high scoring game, regardless of who wins.
In a complete do or die game with it all on the line – it’s hard to bet against the team either. When you throw in 1.76 odds on the Avs yeah that’s not great at all.
Avs in regulation is probably a totally fine play, I just can’t advise it though as it’s hard to make those bets in a do or die game like this. If Avs were at home, it’d be different. Kadri out as well puts me off.
Lean: 2nd Period OVER 1.5.
