Well the Edmonton Oilers got the goals they were looking for.
Unfortunately it wasn’t enough. They scored 5, but the Avs scored 6 and that’s the Edmonton Oilers out of the NHL playoffs.
The Colorado Avalanche have made it to the final.
They will face either the New York Rangers or the Tampa Bay Lightning. I must admit I’m personally hoping for Tampa. I just feel they would be a better match for the Avs, and it would be a good passing of the guard moment for the Avs to beat them.
But they have to overcome the New York Rangers first. Lost 2 games, and an extremely late win following a comeback in Game 3. Will they carry the momentum into this game?
Rangers vs Lightning Bets:
Scott: The Lightning showed some life in game 3. They were down 2-0 but managed to come back to win 3-2. The special teams were on display as there were 4 powerplay goals scored, 2 for each team.
Vasilevskiy had a strong game and out played Shesterkin in game 3.
With the Lightning still at home and having a chance to even the series at 2 games I see them having a good shot at doing that.
But the sportsbooks do too. To get any value we we need to take them in regulation. With the first 3 games all being decided in regulation I think that if the Lightning are going to win this game it will be done without overtime.

Graeme: Will that goal so late in Game 3 be a big momentum shifter for the Tampa Bay Lightning?
I think so. They’re clearly missing Point and we’re seeing it more in this series. But just looking at all the post-match interviews after Game 3 etc. This team really seems like a team that is fired up and ready. Feels like the tides are turning.
I agree with Scott and think they will carry the momentum from that last one into this game.
