5 games last night.
The Sabres beat the Oilers 3-2 with Thompson scoring twice. Ullmark made 48 saves and his Sens beat the Wings 2-1 with Cozens scoring the winner with about 5 minutes left.
MacKinnon picked up his 1000th career point and is the 100th player in NHL history to do so when his Avalanche beat the Blackhawks 3-0 and the Leafs beat Utah 4-3 in a shootout
Lots of games tonight.
Senators vs Flyers
The Sens are in 7th in the East and will need to continue playing well to stay where they are as there is a few teams withing reach of them. They played yesterday and picked up a big win against the Wings
The Flyers have lost 4 in a row and are in 14th in the East. They are 4-5-1 in last 10 and have a losing home record of 15-17-1.
If the Sens didn’t play last night I would take them but I’m passing.
Knights vs Penguins
The Knights are in 1st in the Pacific and are 7-3 in last 10.
The Penguins are in 15th in the East and it’s not looking good for them this season.
These teams just played on Friday and the Knights won that 4-0. With them just playing and the Knights road record and needing them in regulation I’m fine passing.
Panthers vs Bruins
The Panthers are in 1st in the Atlantic and have won 6 games in a row. They brought in Marchand and Seth Jones and now must be considered one of the favourites in the East.
The Bruins are 2-6-2 in last 10 and after what happened on the deadline they have moved to a team that I can’t back.
Played three times with the Panthers winning twice but the Bruins win was in January and needed OT. And that’s when they were still in the hunt for a playoff spot.
Panthers better in CF, CA, SF, SA really all across the board for stats.

Jackets vs Devils
Jackets are 5-4-1 in last 10. They are in 4th in the Metro and in the East
The Devils lost Hughes so I’m not sure i can back them any longer or at least until they can show that they can play without their star.
With the Devils without Hughes I would think the Jackets have the edge here. But looking at their road record of 11-18-4 and I’m fine skipping this.
Lightning vs Hurricanes
The Lightning are in 3rd in the Atlantic and are 8-2 in last 10.
The Canes are on a 4 game winning streak and are in 2nd in the Metro.
Both teams can score with the Lightning ranked 2nd in GPG and the Canes 11th but both can also play well defensively with the Lightning 6th in GAPG and the Canes 8th. They have played twice this year with both games staying under.
I’m passing on this game as it should be a good one.
Rangers vs Jets
Rangers on a 3 game skid. They are in 5th in the Metro and 9th in the East.
The Jets are still the top team in the league but the Caps have closed the small gap that existed. They are 6-3-1 in last 10.
The Jets lead in most categories but just not strongly enough for me to make a play.
Avalanche vs Wild
They played last night but the Avalanche are making a push to climb up the standings. They have won their last 5, are 7-3 in last 10 and are in 3rd in the Central.
The Wild are in 4th in the Central but have lost their last 2 games and are 5-5 in last 10. They are in 7th in the West.
Avs better in both Corsi numbers, SF, SA, GF/60 and GA/60. Numbers back them so I’m taking them.

Capitals vs Ducks
Caps have won 4 in a row and are in 1st in the Metro, the East and tied for 1st overall with the Jets but they have a game in hand over the Jets at the moment.
The Ducks are in 12th in the West and 6th in the Pacific.
Like the Caps here but the GF/60 and XGF/60 aren’t as overwhelming for them as I would like.
Canadiens vs Canucks
Habs have lost last 2 games and 3 of their last 5 needed overtime.
The Canucks are in 5th in the Pacific and 9th in the West.
Both teams are allowing more than they score which makes it tough to call. They are ranked 30th and 31st in SOG. It’s a pass for me.
Predators vs Sharks
Nothing.
Islanders vs Kings
The Isles are in 6th place in the Metro and 13th in the East. 4-6 in last 10 and 14-14-5.
The Kings are at home so I do need to consider them. Its their home record thag gets me everytime, 20-3-4 is outstanding, but their last 3 home games needed extra time and 5 of their last 7 did too. So I have to pass here.
Lightning will have no chance against Hurricanes tonight after that Bruin’s game. 10 units on Hurricanes.
