No plays yesterday, bit of a busy day today.

A quick note I am away this weekend, and Scott won’t be around either.

I’m hoping this won’t affect my betting tips at all, unlike previous travels. One of the biggest issues is I have a lot of other work to do, and working on my laptop just isn’t anywhere near as productive as the desktop.

However I’ve purchased a portable monitor this week, so I’m hoping that dual screen will be the game changer.

It’ll also all depend on my schedule, how I sleep etc. Like Friday night picking my daughter up from her trip to Japan at the airport, and it’ll be late at night. She might want to talk all about the trip and be affected by the insane time change and we’ll be up for hours and mess up my morning. That sorta thing.

So basically will do my best – but there may be a “yeah no tips today sorry lads” post.

Let’s get on with todays as I gotta finish packing!

Penguins vs Blues:

Nothing jumping out here. Blues GF/60 and Pens GA/60 would suggest a nice win for the Blues but the rest of the metrics don’t really line up towards that. I think their odds are spot on here.

Jackets vs Knights:

Jackets come off off a poor road trip. They have won three in a row here and this is their first game here since the Stadium Series game.

Knights after a nice run are struggling somewhat. By the data they’re the better team and in regulation I think isn’t too bad. But I’ve had my issues in the past with the Knights on the road, and the Jackets are a beastly home team so I shall pass.

Senators vs Bruins:

So we’re all in agreement not to touch the Bruins right now yeah? They had their team ripped apart, they played two teams who even prior to all the trades, should have demolished them. It was the opposite and they burnt Scott and I both.

By the metrics, I actually prefer the Bruins here as well to be honest. But if you see anyone backing this game – either side – I’d question ever following or trusting that person again!

Flyers vs Lightning:

Flyers just having a miserable time of it at the moment. Tampa though after that Bruins loss, then followed it up with a key loss against the Canes. Not backable right now. The records do lean their way, but close enough that even if they hadn’t put in two piss-poor performances, I don’t think there’s value.

Leafs vs Panthers:

Bookis have this as a flip and yeah I’d feel the same way myself just knowing both teams. General lean towards the Panthers by data – probably an okay play as it’s not just goalie dependent; their defense does the job too. Don’t hate Panthers here.

Devils vs Oilers:

Devils with two wins in a row, host the struggling Edmonton Oilers. My god the Oilers GA/60 is so gross. Not seeing anything to back here – the over 6 is tempting but the Devils offensive and defensive metrics are both low enough to put me off it.

Wild vs Rangers:

I am feeling neither team here.

Sharks vs Blackhawks:

And yeah – ditto. There’s nothing in the metrics that point one way either.

Kings vs Capitals:

The slightest of leans on Washington here, but I’m a bit hesitant due to the odds. If you take them, you’re taking them knowing it’s a real gamble.

No bets today unfortunately.

Boston on the moneyline.

Boston is in a busy Wild Card race in the east, and playing on spiked enthusiasm after the Marchand shock. Clearly, they instantly decided to take the high road. Ottawa is playing on 1 day off after a back-to-back that included travel to Philly, so they’ll be short of energy.
