Two tips yesterday and we went 0-2.
I had the Rangers to win in regulation against the Ducks but they couldn’t get it done and needed overtime where they won 4-3. This was a close game and both teams scored in each period.
Also took the Bruins in regulation against the Hawks and just like the Rangers game the Bruins won but in overtime.
The Leafs went with Erik Kallgren who was making his first NHL start and he got the shutout win 4-0 against the Stars. He is only the 4th goalie in history to get a shutout in first start.
The Caps beat the Islanders 4-3 in a shootout and Ovechkin scored his 767th goal to pass Jaromir Jagr for third on the NHL career goals list.
The Jets beat the Knights 7-3 which was the Knights 5th straight loss. The Coyotes won again this time 6-3 against the Canadiens and the Coyotes are 7-3 over last 10.
A slower night with only 4 games.
Bruins vs Wild Betting Tips:
The Bruins played and won last night and will be looking for their 4th straight road win.
The Wild are in 7th place in the West where they shouldn’t be but their play of late has been pretty bad going 3-6-1 over last 10. If they can win here they would get back into 3rd in the Central jumping the Preds and still having a game in hand.
The Bruins have gone 4-3 on no days rest and the Wild have gone 6-2-0-1 on games after 2 days rest. They played on January 6th and the Wild won 3-2.
All data suggests that the Wild “should” win this game but with the way they have been playing I have no confidence in them at the moment .
Jackets vs Senators Betting Tips:
The Jackets have won their last 2 games and the Sens have lost their last 2.
The Jackets are out of the playoff picture but the East is way different than the West. In the West there is only 3 points separating the 8th place Knights and the 12th place Ducks. In the East the Jackets are 13 back of the 8th place Caps.
The Sens have gone 3-7-0 over last 10 and are at home where they have gone 10-15-3. With the Jackets still “having a chance” they should come in to this game swinging.
I’m going to take them here as the Sens are doing Sens things and they still have a longshot at making the postseason.

Lightning vs Kraken Betting Tips:
A big mismatch here and the odds show that.
The Lightning are most likely going to win this game but to get any value it would have to be the handicap and that’s only 1.83.
They won their last game beating the Canucks 2-1 but before that they had dropped 3 straight.
I have to skip this.
Devils vs Flames Betting Tips:
The Flames are the obvious favorites here and just like the Lightning to get any value we need to take them -1.5 but that’s only worth 1.80.
I do like the Flames chances to win this game but at those odds it’s not worth it. And after tonight’s game their schedule ,on paper, looks pretty easy with games against the Sabres, Canucks and Sharks. So they may put it on cruise control doing just enough to get the win.
Thank you Scott, from my POV, these are pretty good reads.

Lean: Reverse Puckline: +1.5 for Kraken
The Flames win I would only go moneyline on. Jersey can score goals and is 5-5-0 right now, so Calgary has to show up to claim these two points. A few more wins and Calgary could really distance themselves from the congested Western Conference playoff race, and there are advantages to doing that this week. Tampa put it on cruise control for their western trip, I don’t trust this game for predictions, their last before going home; a perfect spot for a Kraken win, actually, situations like this are where live dogs come from, it’s just that the Kraken are so weak in general and are 2-6-2 right now, so expecting them to win isn’t a convincing option, but the reverse puckline has attractions.
By the way, the Eastern Conference playoff race seems settled already, apart from some positioning, the teams to miss the playoffs are just about known now. That could heat up the trading deadline action, as some teams think “all in this season”, or “rebuild starts now” or something that they can see settled now. I hope to see some major changes; so many teams just suck this season, they don’t even belong in pro sports. The Western Conference playoff race being a busy dog fight for a while longer.
