5 games yesterday. Went 1-0 with the tip.
Had the Leafs to win in regulation against the Flames and they did with ease 6-2.
Had said that we would have to take the Lightning -1.5 against the Flyers but was reluctant to after they played and went to a shootout last week well the Lightning won 2-0 to cover.
The Devils handed the Jackets their 4 loss in a row when they won 2-1. The Sabres beat the Bruins 3-2 in OT and the Wild beat the Kings 3-1.
9 games tonight.
Flames vs Rangers
The Flames played the Leafs last night and lost 6-2.
The Rangers are 4-4-2 in last 10, are in the 8th and final wild card spot. They need to play better and more consistent game as the 13th place team is only 4 points behind them.
Flames played last night and the Rangers not playing well so I’m passing.
Senators vs Canadiens
Good rivalry game here.
The Sens are making a strong push for a playoff spot at the moment. They are 7th in the East and have won their last 6 games in a row.
The Habs are 7-1-2 in last 10 and are in 9th in the East and only 1 point back of the 8th place Rangers.
With the way the Sens are playing right now and having the advantage in CF, CA, SF/60, GF/60, XGF/60 and XGA/60 I’m fine taking them to win here.

Wings vs Capitals
The Wings are in 11th in the East and have gone 3-7-0 in last 10. On the road they have gone 14-14-3.
The Caps are in 2nd place overall in the league. It’s been an unreal season for them after limping into the playoffs last year.
I would think the Caps win here but it would have to be in regulation and the Wings are fighting for a spot in the playoffs and are only 2 points back so expect a strong effort from them.
Islanders vs Penguins
The Isles are in 12th in the East and have gone 5-4-1 in last 10.
The Pens are in 14th in the East and have won their last 4.
I have avoided the Isles all season as they have never given me a reason to back them and the Pens I think have dug themselves such a deep hole that it’s going to take a miracle to climb back in.
Ducks vs Stars
The Ducks are in 12th in the West and will really need to play near perfect to get themselves into the playoff picture. They are only 8 points back but that’s still 8 points and all of the teams around them have to lose too.
The Stars are in 2nd in the Central and they will have a hard time catching the Jets but they should be focusing on keeping ahead of the Avalanche who are right there in the standings. A win here would give them a 4 point lead over them in the Central.
Would need to take the Stars -2.5 to get any value and I never do that.
Blues vs Predators
The Blues are coming off of that pounding they gave the Ducks, are 7-2-1 in last 10 and are in 9th in the West.
The Predators are in 14th in the West and are a team I have avoided all season as they are too unpredictable.
I feel best just passing on this game.
Kraken vs Blackhawks
Nothing for me here.
Utah vs Oilers
Utah is 6-2-2 in last 10. They are in 11th in the West and will need to keep winning to not only keep their place in the standings but gain some ground on the teams in front of them.
The Oilers have won the last 2 games. They are in 2nd place in the Pacific. The division is still up for grabs as the Knights don’t have a comfortable lead just yet.
Another game where the team I expect to win would have to do so in regulation. Utah is only 2 points out of the playoffs so could, and should, be a good game here.
Jets vs Canucks
The Jets are in 1st place in the league. They have won 3 games in a row and are 6-3-1 in last 10. They have gone 22-12-0 on the road.
The Canucks are 5-5 in last 10. They are in 8th in the West but they have the same amount of points as the 9th place Blues but have played one fewer game. At home they’ve gone 14-13-7.
The Jets lead in CF/60, SF/60, GF/60 and GA/60. The GA numbers are strongly in their favor and it’s enough for me to make it a play.
