Only 3 games yesterday.
The Leafs beat the Caps 7-3 with Matthews scoring 2 and adding 3 assists. Ovechkin scored twice and is now only 49 behind Gretzky.
The Stars won 5-2 against the Coyotes and moved into a 3 way tie for first place with the Jets and Avalanche. The Kings pounded the Wild 6-0 ending their 8 game point streak. Kopitar scored and added an assist and to reach 1200 points for his career.
Back to a busy schedule with 11 games tonight. It’s after busy nights like this where we should get a bit more clarity as to who’s playing who in the postseason.
Jets vs Devils Betting Tips:
The Jets still fighting for top spot in the Central. The Devils are about 6 points out.
Jets are 7-3-0 last 10 and on a 3 game win streak. The Devils are 3-7-0 last 10.
On the road the Jets have gone 21-10-3 and the Devils have gone 16-17-2 at home.
The Devils have better CF numbers but the Jets have better GF/60 and GA/60. Could be a close game. Would lean towards the Jets with 1st in the Central on the line but the Devils Corsi has me put off.
Blues vs Senators Betting Tips:
The Blues are 4 points out and and have gone 15-18-2 on the road.
The Sens are 16 points out and on a 2 game skid.
With the Blues road play and the Sens being the Sens I’m passing.
Rangers vs Bruins Betting Tips:
A big game here between 2 of the top 3 teams in the Eastern Conference.
The Rangers are 6-3-1 in last 10 and 21-11-4 on the road. They rank 10th in GPG and are tied for 6th in GAPG.
The Bruins are 7-2-1 in last 10 and have won the last 3 straight. At home they have gone 23-8-6. They rank 9th in GPG and are also tied for 6th in GAPG.
Rangers better CF, SF/60 and GA/60. Bruins better GF/60 and XGA/60.
Personally just a game to watch and enjoy stress free.
Islanders vs Red Wings Betting Tips:
This is a huge game.
The Isles are in 10th in East. The Wings are in 8th. Only 3 points seperate these teams.
The Isles are 14-15-5 on the road and on a 5 game skid. The Wings are 20-11-5 at home and 2-8-0 in last 10.
I can’t personally back either team with their recent play but there are 2 crucial points on the line here.
Flyers vs Hurricanes Betting Tips:
The Flyers somehow are still in 3rd in the Meteo despite going 5-4-1 in last 10. On the road they’ve gone 17-12-5.
The Canes are playing great winning their last 4 in a row and are 8-2-0 last 10. They’ve gone 22-9-4 at home.
Canes have better numbers across the board. But we would have to take them -1.5 and with the Flyers needing points they may make a game of this.
Predators vs Panthers Betting Tips:
Preds have been playing amazing. They are on a 15 game point streak. They are in the 1st wild card spot.
The Panthers are in 2nd in the Atlantic and only 3 points behind the Bruins who are in 1st. They have 2 games in hand over them. They are 7-3-0 in last 10 but on a 2 game skid.
With both teams records over the last 10 this should be a good game. Even looking at their records based on where they are it shows how close this might be with the Preds going 21-10-3 on the road and the Panthers 21-10-2 at home.
Predators have decent numbers but they are scoring more than they are expected which has me worried. I’m passing.
Sabres vs Oilers Betting Tips:
The Sabres are about 5 points back. They have gone 5-4-1 in last 10.
The Oilers are in 2nd in the Pacific and aren’t in any immediate danger as they have a decent lead over the 3rd place Kings with games in hand. They are 7-1-2 in last 10 and 22-8-3 at home.
The Oilers have better numbers in CF, SF/60, GA/60 and XGF/60. With their home play I’m OK taking them.

Blackhawks vs Ducks Betting Tips:
Both eliminated so it’s an easy pass.
Canadiens vs Canucks Betting Tips:
I can’t back the Habs and I’m not touching the Canucks until Demko gets back from injury.
Kraken vs Knights Betting Tips:
The Kraken are 11 points out so not sure how much motivation they will have going forward.
The Knights are in 8th place but the Wild are right behind them only 3 points back.
We would need to take the Knights in regulation and these teams just played a week ago and that one needed overtime. I do like their chances though just not enough to make it a play.
Lightning vs Sharks Betting Tips:
Lightning still fighting and have a chance to catch the Leafs and move out of the wild card. It’s going to take them gaining some points but they are on a 4 game win streak.
The Sharks are the Sharks so the Lightning should be able to win here.
We would have to take the Lightning -1.5 and their road record of 16-16-2 doesn’t give me enough confidence in that and the odds for that are shit too.

Today is gonna be a risky day for me, but I feel confident.
I get a 33% win chance for Montreal today.The odd is good enough to make this bet.
1/3.40 = 0.29 a 29% win chance calculated by my bookie.
Alternative the bet would be Vancouver, but I don’t feel confident with this bad odd.
And I looked into stats a bit.First Montreal has a really good record against Vancouver.
Second Montreal’s last games:

They have lost the last 3 games and looking at the games before, a win could come up here.
Then looking into h2h:
Montreal lost the last 2 games (one long time ago).
BUT statiscal Montreal could get a win after losing those last 2 games against Vancouver. And as extra bonus they’ve lost the last two away games against Vancouver. When this happened in the past, they won the third game.
So even if Vancouver outperforms them today, I see good signs to just try it.
