Disappointing to see the Washington Capitals not really show up last night.
They were a team that were on my “can’t trust” list for awhile but they regained my confidence over the past 6 weeks with the typical late season performances we see from the Caps. They were looking like a team we could count on but couldn’t do the business last night.
Will be interesting seeing how they react to that.
Another loss for the Sharks. I have to say it’s really hard to see beyond a Lightning vs Knights final at this point. That’s the one I’ve thrown my money on.
Saturday, March 24th and a whopping 14 games on the board. It’s getting to be a real tricky spot when it comes to betting because you’ve got a lot of generally meaningless games, and a lot of teams who it’s just hard to back with confidece even if their playoff lives are on the line.
Think we’ll be seeing a lot of 0.5u plays for the rest of the regular season. We’ve had a great March and it’s time to relax a bit as we get ready for the playoffs.
Sens are probably +EV against the Oilers at that price tonight but I can’t advise it. Wanted to take Knights -1.5 but 1.71 odds approx isn’t good for that considering the Red Wings have been a feisty bunch lately.
So just the two tips:
Flyers vs Islanders Betting Tips:
Just feel obligated to take the Flyers here.
They’re battling for the wild card spot and that victory over the Blackhawks keeps them in the race. They’ve had a tough go of it lately against the top opposition but that one has got to renew their confidence. Now they go against an Islanders team who they beat twice recently.
Islanders are in a bad slump too and the offense just can’t get ticking.
It’s one of those that on paper the Flyers should win convincingly. I don’t have any real confidence in them or anything but I think there’s value in the line.

Sabres vs Canadiens Betting Tips:
Of all the teams battling for a playoff spot, the Habs are one of the only ones I actually feel are a playoff team.
What a leap from the beginning of the season when everyone expected them to be basement dwellers.
They’ve not had much luck against Buffalo but you have to win these games to make the playoffs. Buffalo aren’t really playing spoiler.
Habs have been a bit weird lately but I backed them against the Islanders and I’ve got the same level of confidence here.
