No plays yesterday. The only potential play was the Tampa game over if Vasy wasn’t in net. That was the right call in the sense that Vasy played and shut Utah out. Of course, the game went over regardless as Tampa put 8 past them.

Pretty happy with everything else yesterday. I was right that the Flyers offense was waking up. It was good to see Minnesota get the win against better opposition – that’s key for them. Blues ended up being a VERY tight one as they had to come from behind for the W.

Six pack of games today.

Hurricanes vs Canadiens:

My personal feeling is Canes -1.5 is fine. The metrics aren’t too over the moon with that though at the current odds. Habs can score, Canes are reliant on their goaltender a fair bit. Buuut the Canes will be looking to bounce back after that Preds loss, and are rested and at home.

I’ll roll with Canes -1.5. I swear this was 1.90 when I started these anyway it’s still fine.

Panthers vs CLUB:

With their current form, zero interest in Panthers -1.5 here. Metrics don’t push towards it anyway. Like I wouldn’t even take them in regulation or incl OT/SO.

Blue Jackets vs Canucks:

Two teams where I really am not interested in backing. I will say by the metrics, the Canucks are an okay bet. Scoring more and conceding less last 10, slightly worse offensive metrics though and another road game so yeah it’s a pass for me.

Jets vs Devils:

And yeah ditto in regards to backing. Jets look like they are phoning it in. Metrics do all go their way but I don’t have the confidence to back them in regulation. I’ll be surprised if they don’t win in reg though.

Blackhawks vs Knights:

Not backing Knights -1.5 on the road. Hell I swore off them on the road this season. FWIW I wouldn’t say the metrics make it a play.

Ducks vs Rangers:

Not seeing anything in this one at all. The Ducks metrics make it high variance. If you’re looking for a gamble bet on a dog, they’re the best of the bunch today in my opinion.
