5 games last night.
For the 1st time in 4 games this season the Canes beat the Caps 6-1 to avoid being swept in the season series.
The Blues beat the Canucks 4-1 to move back into 3rd place in the Central. The Oilers beat the Coyotes 6-1 for their 7th straight home win.
I mentioned that anytime the Hawks are favored it worries me. The Hawks were up 4-0 early in the 2nd only to lose the game 6-5 when Thompson scored with 10 seconds left. The Kraken upset the Kings 6-5.
A busy night as usual for a Tuesday with 9 games.
Canadiens vs Panthers Betting Tips:
This is yet another game where the odds are heavily in the Panthers corner.
The Habs are 3-3-4 over last 10, the Panthers are 7-2-1. They have played twice this season and the Panthers won both. The most recent was only by 1 goal.
The odds for a Panthers -1.5 play is only 1.62 so it’s a skip for me here.
Rangers vs Penguins Betting Tips:
This should be a good game. The Rangers have won 2 in a row and the Pens are coming off of that 11-2 win against the Wings. The Pens were the first team in the salary-cap era to score that many goals.
The Rangers are in 3rd in the Metro with 89 points in 66 games, the Pens are in 2nd with 90 in 67. A win by the Rangers would see them swap spots with the Pens.
It’s a tough game to call and I looked at taking the over but they are tied for 3rd in GAPG allowing only 2.58 so that has me a little worried. There is a lot riding on this game for both teams and they have both had some high scoring games of late. The Rangers last 3 games had goal totals of; 9, 6 and 11. The Pens last 3; 13, 6 and 7.
Should be a good game with both teams so close in the standings.

Leafs vs Bruins Betting Tips:
Could this be a preview of the first round of the upcoming playoffs?
They are tied with points at 87 and both have played 65 games. They trail the Lightning by only 1 point.
The Bruins have gone 14-2-1 since February 19th so they are rolling. They are at home here which will only help them.
Mrazek has won his last 2 starts which is helping the Leafs until Campbell gets back. He is expected to back on the ice for this game and possibly make his return to action on Thursday. If the odds were better I would take the Bruins but they are too weak for me to make it a play.
Hurricanes vs Lightning Betting Tips:
Another game that should be a good one.
The Canes are in 1st place in the Metro with 95 points in 66 games. The Lightning are in 2nd in the Atlantic with 88 in 65 games.
The Canes have won both meetings so far this season. Both teams enter this game on 2 game win streaks.
This is the 1st game of a 4 game homestand for the Lightning and they will play 6 of their next 7 in Tampa Bay.
I feel like this one is too tough to call.
Islanders vs Jackets Betting Tips:
Both teams are put of the playoffs. The Isles are 19 points out and the Jackets are 15.
Over the last 10 the Isles have gone 6-3-1, the Jackets 4-4-2. They have split the two games played this season. The most recent saw the Isles win 6-0.
I feel like there is enough to go with the Isles to win here but they are on the road so I have to skip.
Flyers vs Wild Betting Tips:
The Flyers have dropped their last 2 and are way out of the playoff picture.
The Wild have won 6 in a row and are 8-1-1 over last 10. I like them to win this game. To get any value on them to win here it would have to be the handicap and their last 3 wins needed overtime so I can’t back that.
Senators vs Predators Betting Tips:
The Sens owner Eugene Melnyk died yesterday. He was 62 and had owned the team since 2003.
I imagine the team will rally around that and have a decent game but it’s the Preds so it’s a skip for me.
Avalanche vs Flames Betting Tips:
Another big game here. The Avalanche are 1st in the Central, the Flames are 1st in the Pacific. The Avalanche have 98 points and the Flames 88.
Both teams are 6-3-1 over last 10 and they have played twice with each team winning one.
The Avalanche road record is 20-10-3, the Flames home record is 21-6-6. This is a true test for the Flames as they now take on the only team ahead of them in the West. Too close to call for me.
Stars vs Ducks Betting Tips:
The Stars can back into the playoffs with a win here but we would have to take them to win in regulation. Any time I take a visiting team to win in regulation it never comes through for me.
The Ducks have lost 9 straight but have a winning record at home on the season despite losing their last 3 straight in Anaheim.
