Was nice to see a night of hockey where the results were much more normal than they were on Monday. But it figures that this would happen on a night where we took no tips.
The Canadiens managed to beat the Sens 3-1 which was nice to see after Montreal lost the last two games against the Sens.
The Lightning beat the Stars which we thought would happen but the Stars home record had us worried. We also thought that the Islanders would win against the Devils which they did but the Devils had fans in the seats for the first time in almost a year and we were nervous about how the Devils would react.
Liked the Blue Jackets to beat the Red Wings but the Jackets came into this game having lost 5 in a row. Also liked the Flyers vs Penguins game to go over, which it did when the Penguins won 5-2, but we had no confidence in making that a tip.
So despite having no tips our leans were good so it was nice seeing that but it would have been much nicer had we went with a couple of them.
For tonight we have 6 games scheduled. I’ll go over each game and see if anything jumps out at us.
March 3rd, 2021 NHL Betting Tips
Capitals vs Bruins
Should be a great game between two of the top teams in the East Divison. They have played twice this season with the Capitals winning the first game 4-3 in overtime and the Bruins winning the second game 5-3.
On the year they both average at least 3 GPG. The last 3 games for the Caps had totals of; 5, 7 and 7. The last 4 games for the Bruins had totals of; 5, 8, 9 and 10.
Based on previous results I think there is enough there for me to back Over in this game.

Leafs vs Oilers
This was another game where I wanted to take the over. But this is the 3rd game in a row for these teams and the first two stayed under with the Leafs winning both 4-0 and 3-0.
Blues vs Ducks
The Blues should win this game but their last 3 games have been decided by a single goal and to get any value we would need to take the Blues in at least regulation. No confidence in that even against a Ducks team who have lost 7 in a row
Wild vs Knights
This is a close game to call. The Knights are 9-2-1 at home and the Wild are 7-3-1 on the road. Too close to call
Coyotes vs Kings
Would lean towards the Kings here but the Coyotes will be looking to get their 4th straight road win.
Avalanche vs Sharks
Would like to think the Avs win this one but they are without Makar, Byram and others so too many questions about this game to make it a tip.
1 unit EDM +110 — I hate this, but I’ve played Edmonton the last two game vs. Toronto and expect to see an incredible place effort from the Oilers, specifically McDavid. Over on McDavid props could have value tonight too after being held off the sheet in consecutive games for the first time this season.
1 unit MIN +125 — I’m a believer in Minnesota and think they should have a great effort tonight after the collapse Monday. Should’ve won that game. Also expect Kahkonen in net, and he’s been phenomenal on the road.
1.05 unit over 6 -105 BOS/WSH — tailing above and loved that number prior to coming here today anyways.

I’m not so sure about over in the Bs Caps game. With Z returning there is definitely going to be money on the board which means the Caps are going to be ready. You just know this game was circled for them. With that extra level of competitiveness it could be a tight game. However, Bs get Krejci and Grzelcyk which is going to add some punch to their line-up. Soooo…that argues for some goals. I’m going to sit this one out and just enjoy the game.
Here’s what I’m on today in the “A” (AHL).
Rochester Americans – Utica Comets over 6.5 – I know it seems like a lot but consider that the last two meetings between these teams in February ended in totals of 9 and 7. For Comets, 4 of L5 saw 9-7-7-11 and the fifth game was 6. For the Crunch, 4 of L5 saw 7-9-7-10 and the fifth game was 5.
Tucson Roadrunners ml – Tucson is 5-2 and have not played a game at home yet. Tonight is their home opener and you know they’ll be pumped up for this one. They are stingy with only 18 GA in 7 games. Conversely, the Texas Stars have 25 GA in 7 games.
San Diego Gulls ml – Gulls have been one of the best teams in the league so far, that is until they faced the Henderson Silver Knights (LV Knights AHL team) who swept them 3-0. Count on the Gulls to bounce back against the Ontario Reign, the worst team in the league at 1-8-1-0. Gulls -130 ml / +120 reg
