The shorthanded Wild beat the Bruins 1-0 to snap their losing skid at 3 games. The Leafs beat the Penguins 6-5 in overtime with Nylander scoring the winner for their 5th straight win.
The Stars beat the Blues 6-3 with Johnston scoring the hat trick. The Rangers beat the Preds 4-0 and 39 year old Quick made a crazy scorpion save, the Canes beat the Flames 2-1 in overtime and the Knights beat the Devils 2-0
6 games again tonight.
Senators vs Capitals
The Sens got Brady Tkachuk back and picked up a win against the Sharks ending their 5 game losing skid. On the road this season they have gone 13-16-2.
The Caps are in 2nd place overall and chasing the Jets who have a 4 point lead. They are on a 3 game losing skid and are 4-3-3 in last 10 and 18-7-6 at home.
Looking at GF/60 in last 10 the Caps have 4.04 and the Sens 3.19. GA/60 the Caps are 3.65, the Sens 3.29.
The Over/Under is 5.5 so I’ll go with over here

Sabres vs Canadiens
Sabres on a 2 game losing skid and the Habs on a 4 game win streak.
They just played each other on Saturday so I’m fine passing here.
Islanders vs Rangers
Good rivalry game here.
They played each other last week with the Rangers winning 5-1.
The Isles are 5-5 in last 10 and have won their last 2 game. They are 13-12-5 on the road.
Rangers just played yesterday and shutout the Predators 4-0. They have gone 15-13-2 at home
The data has these teams fairly close in all categories so I’m passing.
Lightning vs Panthers
Another big rivalry game as this is the Battle of Florida.
They played twice this season and it was back to back in December with each team winning once.
The Lightning are 9-0-1 in last 10 and on a 8 game win streak. On the road they have gone 14-13-2.
The Panthers are 8-2-0 in last 10 and have won 3 in a row. At home they have gone 19-10-2.
This could go either way. Both teams great in last 10 and splitting the games so far this season.
Sharks vs Leafs
Sharks are sinking and there really is no way for them to save the season. In last 10 they are 1-6-3 and on a 8 game losing skid. They’re 6-19-7 on the road.
Leafs played yesterday and won 6-5 in OT. At home they have gone 20-11-0.
I like the Leafs here but there just isn’t any odds that make it worth betting. Would have to be -2.5 and clearly I’m not betting on that.
Kings vs Blackhawks
Kings on the road so I’m not wasting any time or energy writing about it.
The Hawks just moved Jones and are 2-6-2 in last 10.
An easy pass for me.
Zip. I don’t like these matchups or the fact it’s Monday of Trade Deadline week. There are going to be a lot of nervous and distracted players this week.
