6 games yesterday.
I had the Bruins vs Leafs game to go over 6 goals. The Bruins did their part but the Leafs just couldn’t get anything going when the Bruins won 4-1. Matthews, Marner and Nylander all were held pointless which isn’t going to win Toronto any games. Nice game from the Bruins holding the top ranked offense to a single goal.
The Flames had their 3 game win streak stopped when the Kraken won 4-2, the Avalanche beat the Blackhawks 5-0 with MacKinnon pick up 2 and 2. The Jackets beat the Knights thanks to a hat trick from the newly acquired Alex Nylander and the Blues beat the Flyers 2-1 in a shootout.
9 games scheduled for us today.
Jackets vs Penguins Betting Tips:
Jackets played the Knights yesterday and picked up the 6-3 win.
Big game for the Penguins. They need to turn things around and fast as their playoff chances are shrinking. They’re on a 3 game losing skid and it’s coming at a terrible point in the season for them. They brought in Karlsson to give Crosby, Malkin and Letang some help for one more push but it hasn’t happened yet.
With the Jackets on a back to back and the Pens play and basically being up against the wall I’m passing.
Panthers vs Devils Betting Tips:
Panthers played yesterday and beat the Rangers 4-2.
The Devils are falling out of the playoff picture with each passing day which must be tough if you’re a Devils fan as there was so much hope heading into this season. They are 4-6-0 in last 10 and on a 2 game losing skid. They fired Lindy Ruff and replaced him with Travis Green. A coaching change makes this game tough to call as teams can take time getting used to the new bench boss or thrive right away.
Panthers played yesterday and the Devils get a new coach so I’m passing.
Oilers vs Bruins Betting Tips:
The Oilers have won 4 in a row and are 6-3-1 in last 10. On the road they are 17-12-0.
Bruins played the Leafs yesterday and won 4-1. They looked great in that game and maybe they will use that to get themselves back on track.
Both teams are comfortably in the playoffs at the moment.
The Oilers have better metrics for Corsi and goals for and against but after the way they handled the Leafs last night they could use the momentum they gained to go on a run.
Blues vs Islanders Betting Tips:
Blues played yesterday and beat the Flyers 2-1 in a shootout.
The Isles are on a 3 game win streak and 5-3-2 in last 10. They are currently in 9th place in the East.
With the Blues just playing it tought to back them. And of we were to take the Isles it would have to be in regulation. 4 of their last 8 games needed extra time so I’m passing.
Kraken vs Jets Betting Tips:
Kraken played yesterday and won against the Flames for their 3rd win in 4 games.
The Jets are 8-2 in last 10 games and have won their last 2. At home they have gone 21-7-2.
The Kraken have better numbers in Corsi for and against and XGF/60 but the Jets are at home and haven’t played since Sunday.
I would lean towards a Jets win but the Kraken have been playing fairly well so I’m staying away.
Canadiens vs Predators Betting Tips:
Habs are playing poorly at the moment going 2-6-2 in last 10. The Preds are playing amazingly winning 8 in a row.
On the road the Habs are 11-12-7 and at home the Preds are 17-15.
The Preds are currently tied with the Kings in the two wildcard spots so they need to win this game.
Preds win in regulation
Ontario: 1.80 Odds at 888 Sports.
Rest of Canada: 1.80 Odds at 888 Sports.
USA: -124 Odds at Bovada
Everyone Else: 1.80 Odds at 888 Sports.
(Odds correct as of 2024/03/05 9:07:55 AM EST but are subject to change.)
Blackhawks vs Coyotes Betting Tips:
Hawks played yesterday and got pounded 5-0. They have lost the last 7 games in a row.
The Coyotes are 2-7-1 but on a 2 game win streak. They are at home where they have gone 15-14-0.
The Hawks have been bad all year but the Coyotes, despite the win streak, are also in a slump so maybe the Hawks somehow take advantage of this and have a competitive game. I’m not tipping that but it’s a possibility. On the other hand the Coyotes could view this game as a way to gain some points back from that slump they were in.
Stars vs Sharks Betting Tips:
Stars are 4-3-3 in last 10 but have won their last 2 games. The Sharks are on a 7 game losing skid.
With the way the Sharks are, and have been, playing it’s really tough to back them.
The Stars are on this win streak but haven’t exactly been playing that well. If we were to take them here we would have to bet that they would win by at least 3. Could happen but I’m not playing that.
Canucks vs Kings Betting Tips:
The Canucks are 4-5-1 in last 10 and still haven’t got the team back to how they were playing.
The Kings are on a 2 game win streak and are 7-3-0 last 10. They will need to continue this strong play as they are in the wildcard tied with the Preds.
These teams played just last week and the Kings won that one 5-1. The Canucks have better Corsi numbers but the Kings are scoring more and allowing less. This game could go either way so I’m skipping.
To WIN moneyline: Nashville and Dallas
Strong leans:
1) puckline win for Dallas
2) Columbus reverse puckline of +1.5
3) Arizona gets a moneyline win
Alexander Nylander, recently traded to Columbus from Pittsburgh, is raking in points like crazy with Columbus, who seem to be (from interviews) a highly motivated and energized team now. Pittsburgh is a rogue’s gallery of players who realize vocally that their team is *&$#-ed and not going to the playoffs. This has been building for years as the starstruck team has neglected to keep itself updated. I expect Columbus to put on a show tonight.
Dallas is in a tight race in the Central, with Winnipeg, Colorado and Nashville right there and playing well, so both the playoff spots and Wild Card positions are all in play. Nothing is secure. Dallas’ schedule situation makes tonight’s game an ideal place to gain two points. They MIGHT get Tanev tonight, I’m trying to find confirmation about that, but that trade certainly boosted morale for them. If not tonight, due to visa issues, then Tanev will be in the next game. He’s certainly at full health. Tanev is one of the smartest and most effective defensive defensemen in the league, and that has a huge effect on his teammates confidence level. A puckline win tonight against San Jose may now feel par for the course, no matter what San Jose throws at them. I’d be surprised if Dallas slacks off.
The Coyotes have figured out how to score goals and just beat Washington and Ottawa. At home and rested, taking on Chicago should result in two points, as Chicago is on a back-to-back and has scored 2 or fewer goals in 6 straight games, which has been their pattern the whole season. At home, Arizona is over .500 anyway, and should not play down to Chicago, but up, for the clear win. Chicago’s Away record is 4-25-1.
I looked at the Winnipeg game but something about scares me off. Kraken may surprise the Jets. Against Calgary they didn’t display great talent, but did show up to skate for 60 minutes, and that shows determination and a sense of cohesion. So a clear Jets victory, or goal count, I can’t see here.
Wow nice.
I only have to put 95 units on Florida ML @ 1.73. 😳
Like DeNapos I should put Quadrillion of Units, if I’m really sure. xD
Neverthless maybe somebody wants to see some more “fun” picks.
Here they are. Without units, just on watch:
