The Lightning got back into the win column after having their win streak snapped when they beat the Jackets 6-2. The Sharks beat the Sabres also by a 6-2 score. The Isles beat the Jets 3-2 and for the Jets this was their 3rd loss in a row.
The Flames beat the Flyers 6-3 to snap their losing skid at 3 games. The banged up Wild beat the Kraken 4-3, the Avs beat the Pens 4-1 and the Ducks beat the Oilers 6-2.
5 games today.
Senators vs Blackhawks
Sens are 4-5-1 in last 10. They’re are in 10th in the East but 8th is within reach.
The Hawks have won 2 in a row but are 3-5-2 in last 10. They are in 15th in the West and have a long way to go to catch up to the playoff teams.
Would have to take the Sens in regulation on the road and their road record of 13-16-3 doesn’t give me any confidence in that play.
Capitals vs Rangers
Caps are 5-3-2 in last 10. They are still in. 1st in the Metro and 2nd place overall. On the road they have gone 20-7-2.
The Rangers are 7-3 in last 10 and on a 2 game win steak. They are in 9th but there is a group of teams that has 5 teams within 2 points of each other for the 8th position. At home they are 16-13-2.
They have played twice with the Caps winning both so the Caps have had their number this season.
Caps better in CF, CA, SF/60, SA/60 and GF/60. I think there’s enough here to make it a play.

Leafs vs Knights
Leafs are 8-1-1 in last 10. They are in 1st place in the Atlantic but have the same number of points as the Panthers but have played one fewer game than them.
The Knights are 5-3-2 in last 10 and have won their last 2 games. They are in 1st place in the Pacific.
They have played once this season with the Leafs winning 3-0.
This should be a good game between two 1st place teams and it could go either way.
Blues vs Kings
The Blues are 6-2-2 in last 10 and 14-13-3 on the road.
The Kings are on a 4 game losing skid but they played the last 3 games on the road. They are 5-3-2 in last 10.
They just played on Saturday with the Blues winning 4-1 in St. Louis and play again on this Saturday.
The Kings at home are 19-3-3 which always has me digging deeper into their home games.
Kings better CF, Blues better CA. Kings slight advantage in SF/60 and SA/60 but the Blues have better GF/60 and GA/60.
I still like the Kings to win but has to be in regulation and the numbers don’t back that enough right now thanks to the Kings on their losing skid.
Ducks vs Canucks
Ducks are 6-3-1 in last 10 and 13-13-5 on the road. They are in 12th in the West.
The Canucks are on a 2 game losing skid and are 4-5-1 in last 10. They are in 9th place in the West.
They have played twice with each team winning once.
With the Ducks playing yesterday I would lean towards a Canucks win but it would have to be in regulation. They just played on February 27th with the Ducks winning that one. I’m passing.
Actually the Caps has won both games against the Rangers mate!
Rangers did not win against Caps this season, Caps won both games.
Oh shit, my bad. I had this game confused with another. Thanks for letting me know. At least it doesn’t affect my pick.
