A good night of hockey and with the tips we went 1-0.
Had the Flames to win in regulation against the Oilers and they did 3-1. The Flames won for the 14th time in 16 games and are still in the 1st in the Pacific Divsion.
Well the Leafs were up 3-0 and seemed to he in control of the game. But not so fast. The Jackets scored 3 of their own and the game was tied at 3 early in the 3rd. Thankfully for the Leafs they managed to outscore them 2-1 after and won 5-4.
The Panthers beat the Sabres with ease 6-1, the Kings beat the Bruins 3-2 in overtime and I’m glad I stayed away as I was going to take the Bruins.
A busy night with 11 games.
Avalanche vs Devils Betting Tips:
The Avalanche played last night and win. As I mentioned yesterday the Avs may be in cruise control now and there’s no need for them to destroy teams as they are comfortably in the first place overall.
The Devils are way back in the standings and are 24 points out of the playoffs. At some point they must be so unmotivated to show up for games and when you are facing an Avalanche team who has 87 points to your 45 they surely want to get this game over with. It’s like when at a bar and you bump into a wound up bastard, you just want to get that inevitable ass kicking over with so you can move on to finish the night with a few bruises.
I have to skip as the Avs are probably willing to just take it easy and cruise through the rest of the season.
Panthers vs Penguins Betting Tips:
This is a close one to call and the odds reflect that.
The Panthers aren’t as good a road team as they are at home and they have gone 6-4-0 over last 10. The Pens have gone 6-3-1 and are tied with the Rangers for 2nd place in the Metro.
The have played each other twice this season and each team won a game. The Panthers won the first game 5-4 in overtime and the Penguins won the 2nd 3-2 in a shootout.
So all things point to a good game a tricky one to try and predict.
Knights vs Flyers Betting Tips:
The Knights come into this game on a 2 game win streak but their last game was a really close one that was won 2-1 against the Sens with 6 seconds left in the 3rd.
The Flyers are 25 points out of the wild card spots. It’s hard to have a successful season when you have numerous losing skids in the same season and we still have over a month left.
Coyotes vs Wings Betting Tips:
Yeah not a fan of anything in this game.
The Coyotes are on a rare 2 game win streak and the Wings have dropped their last 2.
Nothing jumps out at me for this game.
Kraken vs Leafs Betting Tips:
The Krakens struggles continue. They have lost their last 6 games on the road and now get to take on one of the better teams in the league. They have gone 1-8-1 over last 10. As bad as they have been they have still managed to beat some strong teams. The have beat the Panthers twice, the Canes, the Pens but they just can’t string together wins to gain any ground in the standings.
The Leafs played, and won, last night with Mrazek in net. It’s wasn’t a pretty win but it was a win. They have gone 5-4-1 over last 10 games. With Mrazek starting last night Campbell is expected for tonight.
They played once this season in Feb 14th and the Leafs won that one 6-2
The Leafs are in 3rd in the Atlantic with 76 points but the Bruins aren’t far behind them in the 1st wild card spot with 73. The Leafs have suffered enough against the Bruins in seasons past so they need to win games like this to get some sort of revenge against Boston.

Lightning vs Jets Betting Tips:
The Jets have been a pain in the ass to bet on or against this year. I can’t bet on this game thanks to their unpredictability.
Senators vs Blues Betting Tips:
The Sens are in the same boat as the Devils where they are so far out of the playoffs that you have to wonder if their effort level will be there.
The Blues are in 2nd in the Central and are the heavy favorites for this game.
The Sens have lost 5 straight and the Blues have lost their last 3.
The Blues should win this game and to get any value it needs to be the handicap but with their recent struggles it’s tough to get behind them and take them to win by at least 2 goals so I need to skip this one.
Stars vs Preds Betting Tips:
Well I learned my lesson with the Preds. I can’t and won’t tip a game with them involved anytime soon.
Rangers vs Wild Betting Tips:
The Rangers have won 3 in a row and 7-2-1 over last 10. The Wild are struggling right now losing their last 2 games and going 2-8-0 over last 10.
The Rangers are the dogs here and I’m not sure why. The Wild are a strong offensive team ranking 3rd in GPG and the Rangers are a strong defensive team ranking 3rd in GAPG.
The Wild at home have gone 16-6-1 and the Rangers on the road have gone 17-10-2.
I want to go with the Rangers here but something seems off. The Wild need to snap this losing skid they’re on before they head back out on the road for their next 2 games. But to do so it’s going to be tough against a good Rangers team.
Ducks vs Blackhawks Betting Tips:
The Ducks are on the outside of the playoff picture and they now head out on a 5 game road trip. These 5 games will make or break their season. The Ducks have no problems beating teams below them in the standings but it’s the teams above them that give them trouble.
The Hawks have lost their last 2 games and the most recent was embarrassing. They were up 2-1 against the Lightning only to have the Lightning score 5 unanswered to pick up the win. I’m sure the Hawks will be looking to have a more complete effort in this game as that kind of shit is unacceptable.
The Hawks are the slight favorites here and that has to do with the Ducks road play where they have gone 11-11-5 away from Anaheim.
As I said above, if they are a playoff team then this road trip will let us know. I have to skip this game.
Capitals vs Flames Betting Tips:
Both teams are on 2 game win streaks here. The Caps are 5-5 over last 10 and the Flames are 8-1-1. This will be Ovechkin and Backstroms 1000th game together so they may be looking to put on a show.
The Caps have had some high scoring games of late with their last 3 having totals of 7, 4 and 8. The Flames are on fire, ya I said it, and they have also had some high scoring games with their last 6 having totals of 4, 7, 9, 6, 10 and 8.
The played once at the start of the season with the Flames winning 4-3.
The Flames are in 1st in the Pacific, the Caps are in 4th in the Metro and hold the final wild card spot and will need to continue to win as often as they can to stay there. Against a team like the Flames they will need to come ready.
