Two massive results in the NHL playoffs yesterday.
The Carolina Hurricanes came to New York with fire, and left with a huge 4-1 victory and have a chance of tieing the series up in Carolina.
The Dallas Stars destroyed the Colorado Avalanche in a massive game, to take the 3-1 lead.
Two games today. Panthers look to wrap up their series against the Bruins, and the Oilers look to tie things up at 2-2 against Vancouver.
Panthers vs Bruins Game 5 Betting Tips:
Scott: Well its not looking good for the Bruins. They are down 3-1 with the series back in Florida for game 5.
They had 29 shots in game 1 which they won. The next 3 games were losses and their shot counts were low; 15, 17 and 18. So if they are to have any chance of winning they need to take more shots. But it may be too late at this point.
The Panthers just seem to have their number after that game 1 loss. And with this game in Florida and having won 3 in a row you have to like their chances.
Would have to take the Panthers in regulation but I do expect the Bruins to have a better effort with their playoff lives on the line.

Graeme: Another solid performance from the Panthers. Boston were a bit unlucky they had more high danger chances but couldn’t convert.
It’s just tough to look at this and see how Boston can get the win. Florida are showing that they are the better team and Boston can’t contend with them offensively.
I’m good with Florida in Regulation at 1.83 despite the last one being a tad tight.
Oilers vs Canucks Game 4 Betting Tips:
Scott: The Oilers are having problems with Silovs. It seems that no Demko isn’t a problem for the Canucks.
Skinner wasn’t good in the last game. He was pulled after allowing 4 goals on 15 shots. That’s not going to cut it in the playoffs.
With this game in Edmonton I would expect the Oilers to tie the series and make it a best of 3. Is they lose than it’s back to Vancouver where the Canucks can end the series. All 3 games have been decided by 1 goal so it makes tipping a win in regulation tough.

Graeme: Oilers need a big step-up from the goalie department tonight. Their offense is basically thinking shit we have to score like 4 or 5 goals just to have a chance it seems.
Oilers are creating a lot more chances but the Canucks are converting at a better rate due to that Oilers poor goaltending.
Not sure how I feel about this one.
To WIN moneyline: Florida
Full game OVER 6.0: Canucks/Oilers
Boston looks cooked. Western game should see full efforts for 60 minutes with a tight game, meaning goals just keep coming. I’m expecting an increase in penalties because the Canucks have proven capacity to take stupid penalties and act like beer league twits right in front of the referees. Probably no props because when the penalties increase, the goal scoring can get spread around with lots of surprises. If you concentrate on limiting one player, that opens the ice for other players, blah blah blah……
