The Tampa Bay Lightning had to come up big yesterday and they did so, with a 4-2 victory over the Boston Bruins. Pity the refs couldn’t come up big. Just a really badly officiated game overall and I mean even the Tampa fans were chanting “Refs you suck” at one point.
Hopefully that gets better as things progress but it feels like we’re seeing a lot worse officiating than normal at the moment.
Some incredible action in the Knights-Sharks game which went to OT and Karlsson won it for the Knights. Highlight of the game was this incredible save by Fleury. Holy crap was that amazing. Vintage Fleury.
We move onto Tuesday, May 1st and two good games going on. The Capitals visit Pittsburgh tied 1-1 and Malkin is a game time decision for the Penguins. The Jets/Predators series heads to Winnipeg where the Preds hope to steal a win to take back home ice.

Pengins vs Capitals Game 3 Betting Tips:
Scott: A big win for the Caps in game 2 to tie the series at a game apiece. The Caps have been a strong road team in the playoffs winning all 3 away from Washington.
Malkin is a game time desicion again as are Hagelin and Dumoulin. With all of these injuries the Pens depth will again be tested but they are a deep team.
It’s the momentum from ending the Pens road win streak tying the series that’s going to help the Caps here. As will the injury to Malkin.
If Malkin doesn’t play Caps win incl OT – 0.5u
Graeme: The Penguins will most likely come into this one frustrated after the last game – and really I think Malkin is a key decision yet again.
I think that’s adding to the Penguins frustrations and when he is out it demotivates them and motivates the Capitals. It’s like Washington know that with him out they HAVE to win and that gets them going.
So I’m going to base my betting on Malkin. If Malkin plays I’ll bet the Penguins. If he doesn’t play I’ll bet the Caps.. 0.5u play regardless both incl OT.

Jets vs Predators Game 3 Betting Tips:
Scott: The Jets have been amazing against the Preds. They won game one and almost took game 2. Less than 48 hours after the double overtime game 2 these teams get back at it.
With this game in Winnipeg the crowd is going to be nuts. Nashville has the playoff experience which they are going to need with the Jets play over the first two games and with this game in Winnipeg.
I expect this to be a great game as the first two were. I am having a tough time calling the winner of this game. The Jets have looked great so far but the Preds have the experience.

Graeme: Man after their performances at home in the regular season and in the playoffs so far – I’m prepared to bet blindly on the Jets at home for now. Soon as they lose then great I’ll reassess things – but for now I’ll stick with Jets to win incl OT -1u.
