After some great fighting performances throughout the playoffs, the New York Islanders surprisingly went out without as much as a whimper yesterday losing 4-0 to the Tampa Bay Lightning.
It was a tremendous all-around performance from Tampa who will next face the winners of the Penguins/Capitals series in the finals of the Eastern Conference.
They won’t find that one out until tomorrow at least as tonights games feature the Dallas Stars vs the St. Louis Blues. The San Jose Sharks also are in action taking on the Nashville Predators. The Blues are at home and lead the series 3-2, and the Sharks are on the road and lead the series 3-2.
Stars vs Blues Game 6 Betting Tips:
Graeme: The Stars have won on the road once before in this series and they need to do it again. Honestly they’re capable enough of doing so, and with everything on the line I’d like to think they will throw everything at the Blues. They go with an offense first strategy on the road so that makes Over 5 a smart bet. However I find myself rooting more for the Stars in this series for whatever reason – and with both their wins this set of playoffs being tight ones, I’m going to go for the added money value of the Dallas Stars to win.
Scott The Blues won game 5 4-1. The last time the Blues won big like that the Stars bounced back in the next game. I like that to happen again in this one. The Stars may be getting Eaves back for this game which will add some depth and experience. I like the Blues to win the series but they’ll need to do it in game 7. And the value of a Stars win is great.

Sharks vs Predators Game 6 Betting Tips:
Graeme: Based on their road form I backed the San Jose Sharks both road games against the Predators and they lost them both. The trend does seem to be the home teams winning which makes the Predators the attractive bet. However with every game going at least 5 goals in this series, I’m going to take Over 5 Goals in this one.

Scott This has been a series where the home ice advantage has played a huge role with the home team winning each game. The Sharks controlled most of game 5 and scored 4 unanswered goals in their 5-1 win. With the momentum gained from that win, I like the Sharks to regain their road success and end this series tonight.
