The Washington Capitals forced a game 7 against the Pittsburgh Penguins last night with a tremendous performance.
The Penguins looked extremely poor all game. That turnover by Ron Hainsey was absolutely brutal which led to the 2nd goal – with all the experience he has it’s crazy that he gave that one up.
The Capitals have now won two in a row and will head to the Verizon Center for a highly anticipated Game 7 tomorrow night.
Tonight we’ve got a Game 6 as the Senators visit New York hoping to wrap it up.
It’s been a fascinating series between the two. The games in Ottawa have been incredibly tight, close games which the Sens have won. However the games in New York have been dominant performances from the Rangers.
That sort of thing can actually make it more dangerous for the Rangers. They may be more focused on Game 7 than this one. It’s going to be a very interesting game.
Let’s get to it:
Senators vs Rangers Game 6 Betting Tips:
Graeme: A nice and boring one from me tonight – Rangers to score first.
They’ve scored first in all 5 games previously be it in New York or Ottawa. I’d like to think Ottawa would want to frustrate them and try and sit back a bit initially and see if they survive the expected initial Rangers surge.
Honestly that’s all I’m basing it on. If you want more…in the regular season Rangers scored first in almost 80% of their games which is one of the highest in the league.
Works for me. And although I’m not betting against the Senators for the rest of the playofs, based on the first two home games I think Rangers -1.5 would be a good bet at the 2.90 odds.
Americans bet it at Bovada. Everyone else can place it at Bet365 (Americans: We recommend http://www.bovada.lv.
Scott: The Sens won a huge game on Saturday night tying it up with less than 2 minutes left to force OT where Turris scored for the Sens and a 5-4 win and a 3-2 series lead.
Lundqvist is money when he’s at home and his team is facing elimination. He’s 10-1 over the last 11 games at MSG with a GAA just over 1.00. He will need to back those numbers up for tonight’s game.
It would seem like a safe pick to bet on the Rangers but the odds back that up so I’ll again be going with a player prop.
Derek Stepan has been good for the Rangers in this series getting a goal, 3 assists and registering a point in 4 of the 5 games. If the Rangers are to avoid elimination they will need players like him to show up.
Derek Stepan to get a point for 1.80 odds at 888 Sports. Americans check out the player props at Bovada.
For those who like medium odds I’d advice Sens TT -2.5 @ 1.66, because of their away record in this series and also because what we expect from them tonight. They will try to frustrate Rangers and if they get it we can see a 2-1 win by Sens. Otherwise, they can lose big as we have seen lately. With that, I see this play as a “safe” one. It’s just an early thought. I’ll probably add my official play later with higher odd if possible. But I really like this one and that’s why I am sharing with you guys.

Sens TT -2.5 @ 1.66 statements / sceneries:
1) They frustate Rangers and achieve a win for 2-1 or they go to OT with 2-2 max score and then lose;
2) They are smashed by Rangers scoring 1 or 2 goals.
Overall, the last and real scenery will probably be the 2nd one.
Rangers in reg @ 1.97 w/1u
Rangers 1P @ 2.57 w/0.5u

Couple from the pub have suggested Rangers to win here. So do I tonight.
Rangers win in Regulation.
Rangers to winin regulation. They have motivation, home ice advantage and so on. In addition “King” has been in “Jesus mode” when it is necessary to be.
Bobby Ryan to score! 100 %
Rangers TT o2.5

Curious fact: Sens have led for a total of 13:10 this series. That could be the shortest amount of time led for a team to win a playoff series since 1988 (souce: Sportsnet Stats)
Rags loser style is ON! Sens are playing their fav game style. No chance to Rags if they keep playing like they are now!
would you put a live bet on rangers ML? they could come back from this imo
No way man! I just can’t believe in Rags from what I am watching. But yeah, it’s possible.
I mean period by period is different, haven’t been watching the game, don’t doubt the sens can play frustrating hockey, but the rangers firepower could realistically come back from this
For that I have a bet to they win in reg.
Take a look on this sick save by Lundqvist >>> https://twitter.com/Sportsnet/status/862096097145004032/photo/1
you sure about reg? insane odds, could be possible
I was before the game start… And the bet was placed in that time.
ah okay, well I think they could do it including OT honestly, we’ll see though, but with those odds, I don’t mind the risk, it’s more of a gut feeling with what’s at stake if they lose
I am out. I think Sens are stronger than Rags in OT. Better luck to you!
haha, it’s all about luck in the end 😉 thanks though!
2 goals and…
1st goal was the 1st time to Sens to be the 1st team to score in this series. Karma is f*”#$%”ed up, right @betnhlca:disqus?
2nd was Mark Stone 1st career road playoff goal in his 10th career road playoff game.
Lol
I wonder if backing Rangers to score first was against my “don’t bet against the Sens” rule. Can’t wait to tip/bet them the next round then see them get sweeped.
It was my 1st bet against Sens in this playoffs and also the last one…
This may be one of the greatest things I’ve ever seen:

Can you imagine how much money bookies won yesterday in Sens vs Rangers game? Rangers odds were always getting more expensive!! Sens are a really tricky team!
I hope their odds get even more cheaper in the next series, probably vs Caps.
