Rough night for the tips last night as we went 1-2.
Tipped the Islanders to beat the Canes and they did winning 4-1. The Isles controlled this game from start to finish.
Had the Leafs to win against the Panthers but yet again the Leafs let us down losing 3-2. This is painful to watch and I’m not even a Leaf fan. And you can see it on the players faces this is a tough time to be a Maple Leaf.
We had the Caps vs Pens game to go over 5.5 but the goals just weren’t there. It was tied at 1-1 for most of the game and then late in the third the Caps scored and added an empty netter to pick up the 3-1 win.
Graeme would like to remind everyone of his golf betting tips site, that he linked last week. He actually had a killer week last week, with a 22/1 winner, as well as a 16/1 place and a 25/1 place. He’s only tipping the PGA this week, and you can check out his Northern Trust 2015 Open Betting Tips if you’re interested. Be sure to subscribe via e-mail in the sidebar widget.
Well for tonight we have 6 games. Habs vs Sens and anytime these neighbors play each other it’s a blast. Red Wings vs Blackhawks is a great rivalry dating back to the original 6 and when the Wings were in the West. Minnesota vs Calgary with both teams fighting to get in or keep their playoff spot. Lightning vs Ducks in what should be a high scoring game between two of the best offenses in the league.
Kings – Avs are both fighting to get into the playoffs and I didn’t think that this late in the year that either of these teams would be on the outside looking in. But as we all know, the Kings aren’t a regular season team. Lastly it’s the Bruins vs the Oilers with the Bruins in need of some points to further themselves from the pack for the wildcard spot.
Here’s the NHL tips for Wednesday February 18th
Lightning vs Ducks Betting Tips
This is a battle of third place teams. The Lightning are 3rd overall in the East and the Ducks are 3rd overall in the West.
As mentioned above this is a game between two of not only the best teams in the league but the highest scoring as well.
These teams last met on February 8th and it was the Lightning winning 5-3.
I expect much of the same in this one so going with Over 5.5 for 1.87 Betting odds at http://www.5Dimes.eu for Americans(Need to register to see lines) and and http://www.Bet365.com for everyone else.
Bruins vs Oilers Betting Tips
Yet another team that has had their share of struggles this year. But as much as I dislike them, you can never count the Bruins out.
The Oilers are banged up at the moment with 8 players injured including both of their goalies.
The Oilers have nothing to lose at this point being so far out of the playoffs. But for Boston this game is huge and will go a long way towards getting into the postseason.
Bruins in regulation
Habs vs Sens Betting Tips
The Habs are going to go with Tokarski in this one and give Price the night off.
The Sens look to be going with Andrew Hammond, who will be making his first career start now that both Craig Anderson and Robin Lehner are hurt.
With both these teams without their starting goalie and the history between them, there is potential to be a pile of goals.

I have a question for your buds at sportsinteraction next time you have a Q&A.. Why would you put a line up for MTL moneyline at 2.60, take my money, then refund because, clearly someone made an error on their side? Would they refund me if I made a mistake in my picks? Somehow, I doubt it. Doesn’t seem too fair to me. They should honor it for those who made the bet in time before they made their correction IMO. God knows they make a lot of money off of me as it is. My 2 cents.
Sorry to hear that but unfortunately that is the standard for sportsbooks – they all seem to do it. I guess it’s like a major pricing error at an online store or on an airline. They don’t have to honor it.
I can see why they wouldn’t – but I think at least in situations like that they should throw you a bone with a free bet or similar. Not like there aren’t other sportsbooks out there you could take your business to.
I should note if you make a mistake with a bet, the majority of sportsbooks are good people and will allow you to cancel it before the game begins. But it has to be an obvious mistake. Like they probably wouldn’t honour it if you bet the Penguins, then they pulled Crosby & Malkin later that day.
It’s actually why Bet365 recently added the ability to cash out your bets. They got tired of issuing refunds basically – so if you bet say $20 on the Habs and then change your mind an hour later, you can cash it out but only at like $19 or maybe $19.50.
