We went 2-1 last night for a winning night – yet I went to bed absolutely gutted. Our one losing bet was the Wild -1.5, and they were up 3-0!!!! 3-0 at home!!!! And they let the Oilers come back into it. Amazing. At least the Oilers won in a shootout – take that Minnesota.
Despite some late scares, the Red Wings vs Blue Jackets game went Under 5.5 for a win, and the Sharks destroyed the Maple Leafs in a 6-2 victory.
Oh well – not been a bad betting day. Had Sire De Grugy and Whisper at Cheltenham today. Nothing like a 25/1 shot to come in to brighten your morning!
4 games tonight, including the 3rd of 4 games between the Habs and Bruins. Big one with the Habs up 2-0 in terms of games, but of course going without Mr. Price. Should be an interesting one.
Bruins vs Canadiens: Bruins to Win
Man, I hate typing that.
But you just have to look at the form of the Habs since returning from the Olympics, and without price. We haven’t won ONE game in regulation – everything has went to overtime. Bruins have been very solid including a lot of big wins on the road. The Habs PP unit has been extremely poor of late – which is really what you want to be strong going up against the Bruins.
I like the Bruins to win this one unfortunately. 1.8 odds at Bovada for Americans and http://www.Bet365.com for everyone else..
Canucks vs Jets: Jets to Win In Regulation
Jets haven’t exactly been great since returning from the Olympics, but fresh off conceding a freaking touchdown in a period, I just have to bet against the Canucks here.
Vancouver have been horrible – and boy, has it been great to watch. Jets have put in some okay performances lately and had some tight games. I can’t see either team making the playoffs, but at least there’s still some slight hope and that might just be enough for Winnipeg to push themselves on.
2.10 odds at http://www.5Dimes.eu for Americans(Need to register to see lines) and and http://www.Bet365.com for everyone else..
Ducks vs Flames: Ducks in Regulation
Big road trip coming up for Anaheim starting with this one. I believe it’s Colorado, LA, Washington and San Jose. It makes winning this one that much more important.
Ducks have been struggling a bit lately, but I like them to come out firing here and start their road trip off with a nice win. They usually match up fairly well against the Flames. The Over 5.5 is tempting at 2.15 actually – but I’m going to stick with 1.86 odds for the regulation win.
Also to end on a high note, saw this on Reddit and absolutely loved it. Had to share:
