Oof – well we got the prediction right last night with it being a high scoring night – unfortunately the individual tips went on the wrong games.
We had Under 5.5 goals in the Avs vs Senators game but unfortunately both teams came to life in that one. What a game that was – the Avs got off to a hot start then Ottawa just dominated them and it felt like every freaking shot on goal was going on. 14 SOG in the first period, 4 of which were goals.
Canes vs Rangers was a real kick in the teeth – multiple power plays for both teams, yet neither could convert. Carolina had 3 minutes of PP action in the 2nd period yet for the whole perod just racked up 5 shots. And the Stars/Penguins game started very well – but then the Pens offense just died.
Thankfully we had the Grand Salami Over, and all the other games got us that win at least. Frustrating to see so many goals in the other games though.
And how about those Islanders. A big win over the Sharks – very impressive.
Today we have a few interesting games. 6 games in total. Canucks face the Oilers again, and Minnesota face the Ducks.
Let’s do something the Oilers won’t be doing all season – having a bounce back night.
Oilers vs Canucks Betting Tips:
Surprised to see we’re getting 2.00 on the Over 5.5 goals.
The Oilers strategy of playing without a goalie this season isn’t working out too well for them. They should probably ask that extra D Scrivens to hop back and try and make a few saves now and again. They’ve had 7, 6, 5 and 5 put past them this season. However they’ve also been able to score – and were competitive against the Canucks and not too bad against the Coyotes.
Vancouver have played just twice this season, scoring 4 and 5 respectively. Also please allow me to complain about the scheduling again. Canucks haven’t played since the 11th, while the Oilers have had two games since then both on the road. Seriously.

Other Games:
That’s the only official tip tonight. Went back and forth on all the other games and there was nothing we could pull the trigger on. Here’s analysis and suggestions:
Panthers vs Sabres: Florida haven’t looked good this season. Neither have Buffalo though, and they struggled to beat a beaten up Carolina. It’s one of those games at this point of the season where you generally bet the underdog. However Sabres are the dog at 2.00 which just isn’t enough value for us.
Blue Jackets vs Flames: Tough to know what to think of the Flames this season. They’ve battled very well recently. But a 3rd road trip game against a Columbus team that are nice and rested? Eh – 2.50 odds are close but just not enough for us to bet it when there’s too many unknown factors.
Leafs vs Red Wings: The over would seem appealing, but the Wings defense is doing a decent job at the moment. Head to head, these two float around the 5 line. At this stage of the season with so few games played yet we feel it’s a risk.
Wild vs Ducks: Wild destroyed the Avs twice – but Colorado haven’t looked good at all. Ducks are the superior team but we’re still unsure just how string the Wild are. Ducks 1.68 to win just isn’t enough for us to take that risk. If you’re betting it, Ducks in regulation at 2.10 is better.
Predators vs Jets: After a great start, Jets have been destroyed by the Kings and Sharks – granted two good teams. Predators however got off to a good start against the Stars and Sens. You could argue either side here honestly – but the odds of 2.05 for the Predators, and the 1.80 for the Jets we don’t think represents enough value to make a bet.
I hope you will be back today because your results are really bad lately.
