So for this prop we are betting on if there will be more or less then 3 Canadian teams in the playoffs this year.
There is 7 Canadian teams: Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver and Winnipeg. So will at least three of them go on to the postseason?
Well first off lets get rid of some teams that won’t make them. Calgary is in full on rebuild mode and are a few years away from being a contender, same thing for Ottawa who may be further along then Calgary but still remaining on the outside looking in. Winnipeg is also a bubble team but they’re in the powerhouse Central Division and will need a miracle to occur to move on.
Edmonton has stockpiled high draft picks and are due to break out at some point and that could be this year.
I think Vancouver has the right pieces to advance. They have Ryan Miller who is an upgrade over Eddie Lack. And the Sedins still have some left in the tank and will have a hug year with Vrbata riding alongside.
Toronto and Montreal will go through. Montreal did last year and Toronto was so close. I think that with the Leafs, Habs and Canucks plus the Oilers close we have to bet over.

This is a cool betting prop. They put two players together and you bet on who will score more goals during the season. - Stamkos 1.71 vs Ovechkin 2.10– I think Ovechkin is going to have a huge year this year. Not that Stamkos won’t but I think in the end it’s Ovie who has more goals. Bet Ovechkin to score more goals as he shouldn’t have a problem hitting 50
- St Louis 2.00 vs Van Riemsdyk 1.77– I’m a huge Marty St Louis fan but how much does he have left in the tank? JVR is in his prime and plays with Kessel and Bozak who have some great chemistry. Got to go with the big Leaf forward here

- Kane 1.87 vs Kessel 1.87 – Kessel will score goals but he’s more of a one dimensional player. Kane now has a new center in Brad Richards to feed him the puck and continued chemistry with Brandon Saad. This will be close but we are taking Patrick Kane in the end
- Hall 1.71 vs MacKinnon 2.10 – MacKinnon showed that he will have an amazing career last season. Hall is a couple years older and ready to take the leap to superstar. In a couple years from now the result may be different but for now Taylor Hall will have more points

Bishop 1.87 vs Bobrovsky 1.87 – Bobrovsky is an amazing goalie on a team that looks ready to compete. But Bishop is no slouch and the Lightning have the better blue line in my opinion with Carle, Hedman, Brewer, Garrison, Stralman and Ohlund rounding out the top six. Gotta take Bishop here.
