After a poor road trip, the Knights returned home where they thumped the Winnipeg Jets 5-2.
You know – the Knights truly do deserve to be where they are at. There’s something about the way they play. I’d mentioned it a couple of weeks ago but they’re “on” for every second of every game at times. Always fighting, never getting complacent etc.
But man – I’d rather subscribe to the theory that the visiting teams just don’t know how to control the partying. It’s so much more fun to think of these teams just partying all night long because they can’t handle Vegas. I really do hope this keeps up and they have won of the most absurd home/away splits in the history of hockey.
I gotta admit I was cheering that JVR goal for the Leafs last night. I’d said yesterday Bruins was a strong gut play and I would have been sick if they had won that and I hadn’t tipped that. In saying that it was probably the right play yesterday based on the odds as that was a real close game.
We move onto Saturday, November 11th. Despite a lot of games there’s not a lot I’m feeling too great about. I feel the Sabres and Blackhawks represent some value but not enough to tip them.
With the Blackhawks I feel the biggest factor for them at the moment is figuring out the players mood and drive prior to the game. From everything I’ve read I thiiiiiiiink they might take this one based on that but not 100% sure. They still seem to have a “Ah we’re the Hawks it’ll turn around” approach. Quenneville needs to start slapping people around.
I also think the Coyotes might get a surprise result tonight but I was hoping for better odds than evens. After the Knights performance it’s a great time for the Coyotes to upset the Jets. But based on the teams performances so far this season 2.00 is not anywhere near enough value in my opinion. At least would need 2.25. Might personally throw a bet on Coyotes in regulation but can’t advise it.
Leafs vs Bruins Betting Tips:
It was a tight one yesterday between these two teams and now they go to Boston. The Bruins will be angry after the way they lost last nights game and will be hungry for the win.
The Leafs offense will have more confidence after last nights sneaky win at the death.
I see a much more feisty game and the Leafs playing a bit more risky. Despite both teams no doubt being a bit tired I like this to be a fast paced game. Leafs seem to thrive on back to backs with their offense and last nights result should have the Bruins fired up.

Islanders vs Blues Betting Tips:
A lot of this is based on the Islanders offense to bounce back strong. They’ve had 2 bad games in a row offensively and that Stars one – well surely that has to be rock bottom. I don’t think they can get any worse than that.
It’s two strong offenses that are essentially looking to bounce back. I mean the Blues struggling to beat the Coyotes isn’t exactly rock bottom but it’s pretty close.

I like this one, because Pittsburgh needs to get more points and Nashville collected points in their last games. They could get a win out of this game. They’re healthy and I like Jarry to suprise and keep his stats. I mean if you had to decide wouldn’t you take Pittsburgh with better ODD?

My 1st decision was to stay way from this clash…
I see Montreal as an extremely strong play tonight- they’ve got Drouin and Weber back. The Wild has always been a bit of bogey team for the Canadiens, but I don’t see them losing to a team with less rest on the road who only managed a goal against a Panthers team that leaks goals most games. ***Montreal Reg/ML***
I take the opposite view on the Coyotes game, and see the Jets ending their road trip on a winning note. Their stats aren’t good against the Coyotes, but how can you bet the coyotes who have only won 2 games and required overtime to do it? I got almost 2.00 on Jets ML, and I see no reasons for a Coyotes win even if they have been “playing better” – they’re still 2-13-3. Jets ML.
I like the play on the Blues to beat the Islanders, the Islanders best performances have been at home and they’re cooling off at the moment. Dallas hammered them last night, and I see the Blues waking up from their bad showing against the Coyotes to hammer the Islanders again. Bare in mind the blues are 5/6 on home turf against the Islanders.
NYR to win against the Oilers. The Rangers are 4/5 h2h against the Oilers, and their offence has woken up. I think they take a 6 win streak tonight at home. The Oilers are doing better, winning 3 of their last 5 but 2 of those wins were in OT and against teams who have been sliding. 2 wins coming against the Devils and the other against the really poor Blackhawks team. I just don’t see any reason to stop taking the Rangers until they cool off.

Devils doing 4 loses in raw and ending home series tonight. They hardly need this win to go “abroad” with ended lose-streak. Isn’t Panthers the team, that need to help such teams as Devils ? ))
Makes sense indeed, but wouldn’t risk under the circumstances. Some injured players, plus Panthers won the 2 of the four last matches on the road, recently destroying Buffalo. I have taken Predators and Canadiens, plus Maple leafs over 5. Good Luck 😉
They actually did not destroyed them, they were holding 2-1 lead as hard as they can and scored 2 empty net goals, cause Buffalo cant play with 6 and doing it worse than with 5 ))

Bruins regulation & over – Austin Matthews is out again and the Boston Garden is a tough place to win. With Marchie back, revenge on their mind and McElhinney in goal for the Leafs I think the Bruins get it done. I took regulation for value but it will be a close game and could go into OT. At least 6 goals in a game where neither team has the strongest blue line.
Jets-Yotes over – Jets got a spanking at the hands of the upstart Knights and will be looking to give the Yotes a beat down. Yotes will be shooting against Steve Mason who is pretty leaky.
Jets ML – see above.
Pens ML – great value for the Stanley Cup champions. They have not fared well on the road and are a gruesome 0-5 on 2nd day of b2b, but they do have a great record after getting spanked in the previous game. They new young goalie seems like the real deal and I think Sid and friends get it done.
Flyers regulation – This Flyers team, especially the first line, is playing with a great deal of confidence and should make short work of a Wild team that is on the final leg a grinding road trip. They call these scheduled losses when you know your team probably won’t show up. Flyers on the other hand just dispatched the hapless Hawks and are feeling pretty, pretty, pretty good about themselves.

Devils have lost last 4 and Cats have 1 game streak. I don’t have confidence in either side.
I’m going to disagree with you here again on Boston, I like Toronto to carry their momentum. They’ve not needed Matthew’s the last 2 games, and I think the market is over estimating Marchand. If you look at him, his scoring record isn’t overly amazing against Toronto. I like Toronto to get over their road troubles. Not much more than a feeling, and won’t bet it but I don’t trust the Bruins.
I freely admit to being biased on this call. However, I do believe that Boston will get it done.
