We had a great night last night going 2-0 with the tips.

We had the Jets to win in regulation and they did when they beat the Coyotes 4-1.  The Coyotes became the first team in NHL history to have no regulation wins through the first 20 of the season.  They are comfortably last in the league with only 7 points which is 7 behind the next team the Buffalo Sabres.

We also had the Oilers to win in regulation and they did just that when they beat the Knights 8-2.  I had mentioned that McDavid hasn’t gone two games in a row this season without registering a point and he made sure that continued scoring twice and adding an assist.  The Knights pulled Lagace after allowing 7 goals and played Dylan Ferguson who is their fifth goalie so far this year.

There is 3 games on today and we couldn’t decide on a tip so we will have no tips for today.  Below we will briefly cover the games and maybe you see something that we didn’t.

Game Thoughts:

The Rangers and Blackhawks play.  At first I liked the Rangers to win as they have won 6 in a row.  But the Hawks are at home and will be looking to bounce back after that crazy game against the Devils on Sunday.  Just couldn’t agree on a tip for this game.

The Flames are in Detroit to play the Wings.  I would have went with the Flames but Lack is getting the start and he hasn’t really impressed this year going 1-1.  The Wings are a hard team to read.  They are 2-2-2 at home and 8-8-2 overall.

The final game of the night is the Bruins vs the Ducks.  Both teams haven’t  really had great success this year and both are hard to read.  They have similar records and nothing jumps out to us for this game.

OHL / WHL / AHL / KHL Betting Tips:

(All below systems are based mainly on mathematics and statistics with very little human input and are deemed experimental. )

OHL Betting Tips (9-5, +2.46u): Hamilton Bulldogs in regulation at 2.00 odds. And not sure if you do the lower odds picks(I don’t and we rarely go below 1.70 on here) but the system does like Sarnia Sting at 1.53 fwiw.

Well done G&S! My both picks landed too.

I am analyzing Hawks vs Rangers since yesterday… Well Rangers has the edge to win, I have no doubt about it. The only arg that I see on Hawks side is “they’ll want to bounce back”, but it’s not enough to put me away of Rangers to win. Hawks has a lot of defensive problems and I am sure Quenneville doesn’t know which goalie should start the game today. With that, I prefer to go on the value side based on facts, instead of pure faith on Hawks bounce back, and pick,

Rangers ML @ 2.16

My other pick is on the game Ducks vs Bruins.

I has concerned about Ducks PK, but 3 of the best Bruins PP players are out tonight and with Bruins lack of score vs Gibson hot returning I am going with,

Bruins TTU 2.5 @ 2.06

My post disappeared… So here he goes again:

Well done G&S! My both picks landed too.

I am analyzing Hawks vs Rangers since yesterday… Well Rangers has the edge to win, I have no doubt about it. The only arg that I see on Hawks side is “they’ll want to bounce back” before facing Pens & Bolts on the road, but it’s not enough to put me away of Rangers to win. Hawks has a lot of defensive problems and I am sure Quenneville doesn’t know which goalie should start the game today (Crawford is confirmed now). With that, I prefer to go on the value side based on facts, instead of pure faith on Hawks bounce back, and pick,

Rangers ML @ 2.16

I also prefer the Rangers, I am dumbfounded as to the huge market belief in the Blackhawks.

Caesium

The money is going on the Hawks way… But I am felling good with my pick based on facts. For me this is the most important. I am sure that considering a repeatability scenario, Rangers win at least 5 in 10. That’s profitable. GL to us mate.

Oliver Trigg

Yeah I feel it’s one of those few times where money can be made off a market mistake. I rode the Golden Knights on their entire first home stint – I think almost every time they were listed as underdogs game after game. I see this as one of those situations here.

SanDiegoBruinsD

I took LVK last night and they looked like the team they were supposed to be pre-season: a bunch of cast-offs trying to catch up with real teams.

Oliver Trigg

I tipped it but didn’t end up pulling the trigger- I just liked Winnipeg so much I focused my bankroll on them. Backed out Kings and Penguins at last moment too- odds were bad and both teams haven’t been great.

magus1349

Red Wings, Blackhawks and Ducks with 2 units.
Zetterberg, Kane and Perry with half unit.

Another great win . Congrat

IMO Rangers has to be the play here- on a 6 game streak , won the last 5 in Chicago, Lundqvist is looking great and their offence is rolling. Chicago “need to pick up the win” is not a convincing argument to take them. I said a few days back when they played the Devils, that I would take the Devils- and my wallet benefited from that very nicely. Why would I not take a winning team on a streak at an underdog price against one of the league’s perpetual under performers ? Rangers ML

I also like Calgary ML tonight- they’ve won 5 of their last 6, 4 of their last 5 on the road and come up against a Detroit team that has only one win in their last 5 home games. Look at how Calgary outmuscled St Louis (a team that has historically dominated them) and you see what Calgary is the solid choice.

Ducks ML- This is my least favourite pick, because ultimately it’s a choice of who is playing the worst hockey. Ducks are at home and up against a Bruins team that has 5 wins all season, with their only away win coming against …. you guessed it the dreadful Coyotes. The Ducks only leaked 2 goals and lost by 1 against the red hot Tampa and add to that the Ducks have won the last 7 against the Bruins.

Caesium

Yeah, I am questioning the same about Hawks to win written everywhere… Are they all blind or just us?

SanDiegoBruinsD

There have been rumours of a bad locker room or maybe they hate Quenneville. Regardless of the reason, they are a team with great talent but no heart or chemistry.

slyNHL

Ducks seems quite solid now. They were lucky sometimes against Lightning, but mostly they made their best in 3rd and was quite close. If Gibson will keep doing same shit, they are ahead tonight

SanDiegoBruinsD

Ducks seem solid? They are 1-5 for the last six games.

slyNHL

Your results sometimes might not describe the performance your are showing. E.x. If you were watching their game against Tampa – you’ve seen. Btw having such troubles with squad and playing like this – it means they are solid. They got Canucks, get OT against Sharks and Kings. Isn’t it a solid performance? Imho yes

SanDiegoBruinsD

Good analysis, thanks for putting in the effort. I’m traveling this week and will go with your tips since I don’t have the time to do my own due diligence.

Dewil

Quenneville (and the whole team obviously) doesn’t accept this kind of playing from a team that has great potential. Last time they did this bad, after a 6-3 loss to Avs, Quenne couldnt control his anger at practice and they had extratraining – that lead to two straight wins that were shutouts. I’m pretty sure it has happened again and I expect them to come out motivated for this one.
I won’t bet on this Original Six game.
Instead i’m leaning on the well rested Red Wings, who will have to step up with their home games. With Eddie Lack netminding the Flames and the fact that Red Wings outshot the Flames last time they met 5 days ago – i see value on this one.

Oliver Trigg

You could be right, but I’m not about to place money on a team suddenly being enthralled with motivation because of a telling off. Considering how the hawks have done all season, surely there have been a lot of telling off already?? Hawks are still getting too much respect, and of course I may be entirely wrong but would you not pick let’s say Jets (as an underdog) if they were on a 6 streak and playing against the Avalanche (who have more or less the same record as the Hawks but are better at home)??? I learnt my lesson when the hawks played Montreal (the last game I bet them), they had won their last 2 with back to back shutouts and then decided not to show up for the game…and they’ve generally dominated Montreal at home. I’m forgetting reputation until I see real results. That being said, I hope that tonight isn’t the night the hawks get the result.

SanDiegoBruinsD

First, thanks to our hosts and Oliver Trigg for their analysis today. I’m traveling so trying to keep it short-ish.

In the first match, I think Calgary might win, but Eddie Lack is a huge weak link. For me the over in this game is a better option. Calgary has a lot of firepower and it’s not difficult to see them scoring 3+ goals. With Lack in net for the Flames Detroit will have a good chance of putting up their own crooked number. Official tip is the over, but if you like a little more risk put a small bet on Flames to win.

I agree that Blackhawks are over-favored tonight. They are one of the teams that I will not bet on this seasons. You never know when they show up to compete. Rangers seem to have turned their terrible start to the season around. Their road record is 2-3 but they are playing with a lot of confidence right now and the Blackhawks are lost. Blueshirts to win.

Bruins are another team in which I have no confidence, despite being a Bruins fan. They are 1-5 on the road and 1-4 in their last five games. The Ducks are having their own problems: they are 4-7 at home and 1-4 in the last five games. I like the under in this game. Neither team is finding the back of the net on a consistent basis and both teams have their first string goalie in tonight. If I had to pick a side I’d go with the Ducks who are playing in front of the home crowd.

Mojo

SDB I’ve been sayng this for the last few years, Chicago is one of the worst teams to back in pro sports. I think the Flames get a big game from their top line and beat the Wings. Not sure why everyone has all this faith in a stripped down Anaheim roster. That game screams 2-1 toss up.

What do you think of Under 17.5? Personally think this is the BEST play on the board. You essentially need all three games to hit six to go over and I don’t see it at all. NYR and Chicago almost always play really low scoring games and Boston and Anaheim have really watered down rosters with capable goalies.

SanDiegoBruinsD

Agreed on Blackhawks. You have a good argument for the Big Salami under, but this has been a season with some very high scores almost every night. When there are only three games a single high scoring game can throw off the entire Big Salami so I am going to stay away. GL!

Mojo

Yes I’ve been burnt a few times on games that should have stayed under easily, bad goals and empty netters. But eventually things will regress and when you look at these games it should be an under night. Went big on under 17.5

Juri

Rangers +1, and, Ducks to win the match – small stake

Ducks in reg.

Decided against the win and chose Over 5.5 parlay instead. Worked out well.comment image
