Ovechkin continued his push for Gretzky’s goal record when he scored a hat trick and the Caps won 5-2 against the Knights. He is only 29 back of passing Gretzky.
Stamkos scored 2 powerplay goals and the Preds won 5-3 against the Canucks for their 2nd road win of the season.
The Canes beat the Blues 4-1 with Necas scoring twice and adding 2 assists and the Rangers beat the Kraken 2-0
Congratulations to the Argos on winning the 111th Grey Cup when they upset the Bombers for the 2nd time in 3 years 41-24.

Jackets vs Bruins
Either team is playing very well at the moment.
The Jackets are 3-6-1 in last 10 and Bruins are 4-4-2 and have dropped their last 2 games straight.
Looking at their records based on where they are playing and this should be a game the Bruins win. The Jackets are 1-6-2 on the road the Bruins are 5-3-2 at home.
But to get any value we’d have to take the Bruins in regulation but on a 2 game skid I’d rather avoid it.
Avalanche vs Flyers
Both teams are playing around .500 this season.
The Avalanche are 9-9-0 and 3-3-0 on the road, the Flyers are 8-8-2 and 4-4-0 at home.
For GPG they aren’t very high up in the rankings but for GAPG the Avs are 30th allowing 3.78 and the Flyers are 28th allowing 3.50.
The last 4 games for the Avs were high scoring with totals of 7, 6, 5 and 10. The Flyers last 4 were 7, 9, 7 and 7.

Oilers vs Canadiens
I would lean towards the Oilers to win here but to get the odds needed we would.have to take them -1.5 on the road.
With the Oilers having an up and down season it’s tough to make that play. They are 6-3-1 in last 10 but will be without Nurse who took a head shot from Reaves in the previous game against the Leafs on Saturday
Ducks vs Stars
The Stars should win this game as they have been a decent team this season.
Looking at some of the stats and it’s not even close. GPG Stars 10th Ducks 29th. GAPG Stars 1st Ducks 17th and SOGA Stars 5th Ducks 32nd.
But the sportsbooks also see these numbers and we would have to take the Stars -1.5 and that would just get us to our minimum of 1.70 so the risk sure isn’t worth it here.
Capitals vs Utah
The Caps played, and won, last night so I’m kind of put off of taking them here. This isnthe 2nd back to back for them this month and 3rd overall this season.
Utah hasn’t had a great season so far going 7-7-3 which has them in 5th in the Central and 4-3-1 at home. They are 22nd in goals scored and 23rd in goals against.
I’m passing on this game.
Wings vs Sharks
Both teams are coming into this game on losing skids.
The Wings are 3-6-1 on have lost their last 2 and are 4-5-0 on the road.
The Sharks are 5-3-2 in last 10 and have lost the last 3 straight. They are 3-4-1 at home.
Hard for me to find a team to back here when both aren’t playing that well.
