It was a 2-0 winning night last night, although it was a bit of a nerve wracking one.
I don’t think we’ll be tipping the Rangers to win again anytime soon though – my god they are bad. Lundqvist pulled off a lot of ridiculous saves last night to keep them in it in the early periods. The Knights were honestly the better team but things just did not go their way.
We had both bets in that game. We took the Rangers to win in regulation and we had over 6 goals. The over 6 came in with ease as there was 10 goals.

Lightning didn’t strike twice for the Coyotes as the Red Wings beat them last night 5-3. And in the other game, the Jets got a big 2-1 win over the Minnesota Wild.
We turn our attention to tonight with 5 games on the board. The Leafs look to end their losing streak at 3 as they take on the Ducks. The Blackhawks are in a similar situation as they host the Flyers and the Penguins vs Oilers in Edmonton is the marquee game of the night.
Chicago Blackhawks vs Philadelphia Flyers Betting Tips:
Quenneville read the Blackhawks the riot act yesterday and that’s a good sign. A fired up Blackhawks team should be able to beat any team in the NHL on any given day.
I expect them to come out motivated for this one. The fact that Gostisbehere is out as well as MacDonald is a bonus. The Flyers had a poor performance against the Coyotes and that’s gotta have them down.
The one issue is that the Blackhawks relied on overtime quite a bit last season but they haven’t been that great in OT this year with a 1-2 record. So I’m going to back them to come out fired up and dominate this game.

Only the one tip tonight. My other thoughts:
– Penguins vs Oilers man I don’t know. I think the Oilers probably bounce back better and the Pens are a trainwreck at the moment but I’m not sold on Edmonton at this stage. The Capitals picked them apart even when 2-0 down.
– Devils/Canucks are two tough teams to call at this stage. I’d probably lean Devils purely for the value.
– Leafs vs Ducks. Ducks without Getzlaf makes the Leafs tempting but the shuffle of the Leafs lines I’m not sure is warranted and not sure it’ll be insta gold. I’d still prefer Leafs.
– Predators vs Sharks. I like the Sharks here but the Predators are a team that is too hard to call for me – this season and last – and unless I was getting a better price I can’t take it.
Take Your Kid To Work Day:
It’s take your kid to work day at the high school, and so I have my 14 year old son working with me today. He’s not a big hockey fan – he likes the Leafs after all – but I’ve had him sit down and analyze all 5 games and make a pick. Odds etc are a bit beyond him at this stage so I’ve got him to read through the previews, look at the stats, then pick a team to win in each game and that’s it.
Here’s his picks:
Blackhawks: Two key Philly defenders got injured, and the Blackhawks have a player who is scoring a lot.
Oilers: Doing better lately and the loss of Hunwick and Schultz due to concussions is too much.
Canucks: Goalie is doing good.
Ducks: Because of better recent results and on a run.
Sharks: Winning more lately and on a good run.

I’m not trolling you, but I am curious: What basic data are you reviewing to, if not stats, trends, injuries and schedule? And who are the “kids” and what is their approach? Again, i’m asking in good faith not being an a-hole.

DOH!!! My bad. you’re right, I didn’t read Graeme’s post carefully, after the tips I stopped reading. For not being a hockey fan or a professional handicapper, I’d say his kid did OK. So I agree with Rattler, sometimes the obvious things are the difference makers. peace out SDB
Not a lot of obvious plays tonight. You just never know which team will show up with these pairings. I hate these mid-week games because crowds are sometimes thin and teams have a tendency of emotional letdowns, especially on the west coast. Having said that, there are a couple of bets that I am making today.
The Devils are among the few teams that are playing with consistency. On the other hand you have the Nucks who have put together a nice little streak, but will come back down to where they belong. I am taking the Devils both ML and Reg. I like the over in this game too, and the over in the first period, but my site isn’t offering it today for some reason.
Even with Getzlaf out I like the Ducks over Leafs, but Ducks are coming off a road trip and there might be a hangover so I’m staying away from picking a winner. However, I do like the under in that game.
I like the over in Flyers/BH. With both teams GF at 3+ and GA just under 3 it’s a decent play and getting acceptable odds at -120. 4 of the 7 D-men for Flyers are rookies and Elliott isn’t exactly a brick wall. With leaky D and goalie the BH snipers could take advantage. The Flyers have been putting up some good numbers this year and have scored 18 times in the last 5. Blackhawks back end is not keeping up with opponents speed and it’s led to 34.5 shots per game.
Blackhawks have lost 5 of last 6 games and after yesterday’s bag skate and Quenneville losing his shit at practice I think Blackhawks step up tonight. One unit on win in reg.

this one is less risky, Real madrid i think is a good team whit amazing players more than tottenham and the line is good, they should win this game
i think you should never bet on an away team in a close matchup in football. plus real couldnt win at home.and england is a special place to play and real madrid almost never go there in the past years.better bet on draws. best luck anyway

Yes. For two reasons. They play at home early in the mourning for me ( at 5.00 ) and i saw them and i like them. On de other hand, i think is time for Devils to lose away. This is NHL and nothing lives forever.

i think its too early to say if theyre good or bad at home or the road…look at their last 5 games they’re on 4-0-1 so maybe they can keep their solid play going and improve their home record a lot.
Canucks aren’t good at home…
thoughts on that new jersey at vancouver game ? devils are unbeaten on the road so they might be due to loose one.. but vancouver is 2-2-2 at home. vancouver special teams are poor and its the opposite for nj. anyone has access to 5 on 5 plus minus of teams ??
I never like betting on teams that are due for a win or loss. Trends are key.
