Only the 3 games last night. But there was still some great hockey played.
2017/11/22 11:56:57 AM EST
The Canucks beat the Flyers 5-2. Brock Boeser scored twice and leads the team in both goals and points. He’s only one point behind Arizona’s Keller for points by a rookie this season and a strong early season Calder candidate.
The Blues scored early and often in their game against the Oilers and won 8-3. The Blues scored 2 in the first and second periods and 4 in the third. Tarasenko has two goals and two assists and so did Schenn who now has points in 8 straight games.
The Habs struggles continued. They lost 3-1 to the Stars and this was the 4th straight loss for Montreal. They really need Price to return before this season gets away from them.
A much better night of NHL action with 15 games. There is no games tomorrow as it’s Thanksgiving in America. Happy Thanksgiving to all of our American readers.
Blackhawks vs Lightning Betting Tips:
This should be a great game.
The last time they played each other it was a 5-4 Lightning win.
The Hawks have to be ready for this team. They have won 2 in a row and will need to continue their strong play to climb the Central Division standings. They’ll need a really strong effort to slow down the Lightning.
The Lightning have been amazing all year. They are in first place in the East and lead the league in GPG with 3.95.
With the way both teams are playing it’s tough to call a winner but I like it to be a high scoring game.

Flyers vs Islanders Betting Tips:
The Flyers are falling. They have lost five in a row and are still without Gudas.
The Isles have been amazing at home this season. They’re 6-0-2 registering a point each time they play in Brooklyn. They lost their last game but before that they had won 3 straight where they were scoring 5 a game.
The Flyers are slumping so I like the Isles at home. Gudas doesn’t put up big points but they will miss his defensive play while he serves his suspension.

Leafs vs Panthers Betting Tips:
The Leafs will be looking to get back in the win column after losing their last game to the Coyotes 4-1. They had won 6 in a row before that loss.
The Panthers have lost 2 straight and are ranked 30th in goals against allowing 3.55 per game. Not a great stat when the Leafs are in town who are 3rd in GPG with 3.59
I like the Leafs to bounce back in this game. To have your win streak snapped by the worst team in the league has to sting.

What do you think about Leaf-Panthers and/or Avalanche-Stars going over5,5?
Andersen is playing pretty good at the moment not sure I like the Leafs/Panthers over.
I could see Avs/Stars over. I also personally liked the Avs to win there. Good price on them considering how hot/cold Stars are this season and Stars road form and Avs home form.
With Bernier in net for the Avs I personally like the Over in Avs/Sens
Oh yeah with him in I prefer the over for sure
Red wings TT over 2.5
Panthers TT over 2.5
Rangers TT over 2.5
Pick one
Every idea will me much appreciated
Rangers- got the most consistent offence averaging 3.46 goals a game. Darling also concedes an average of 2.46 goals a game.
> Picks: S&G’s picks, Avs/Stars Over 5.5
> Leans: Preds & Ducks
> Have some good experiences with bigger odds this season. So maybe I’ll try Flames & Canucks
I ended up taking the Canucks last night after realising they’re a different team on the road, along with the Stars and Blues all in reg. That did me very nicely. Hoping to put some more money in the bank tonight. I will place ML and Reg bets on some teams – money line bets will be parlayed and playing it on the money line is just insurance in my mind- if I’m getting over my money back I’m still happy. Picks are in order of how confident I am in them.
1) Nashville ML/Reg- I’m really surprised not to see this tipped here given the Preds form – 7-1 in their last 8. Taking into account that Weber is likely out again tonight, no Price a Has team struggling to get a win isn’t going to have much fun against a rested, on form Preds team who have been stellar at home. The Preds have only lost twice at home this season, and I would be massively surprised if the Canadiens given their form have any impact tonight. Despite past games all being decided by one goal I reckon the Preds run riot tonight, and the puck line isn’t a bad play either.
1) (This is tied first with Nashville) Islanders ML/Reg – I’m playing this in reg, the odds are great (I got +110 / 11/10) Islanders are superb at home and showed they can roll with the best with their win against Tampa. This is a team that has won 12 of their last 14 at home (including pre season) and are up against a Flyers team who were kicked about by the Canucks. You can’t back a Flyers team on the end of a back to back who are on a 5 game losing streak. The Islanders are rested, superb at home, better on paper and are in far better shape.
2) Tampa Bay ML/Reg/Over 5.5 – Tampa hasn’t been great at home I’ll accept that, but they’re still the best team in the NHL right now. The odds are a bit short and I think its worth looking at the reg win/ the over. I don’t usually bet totals as I just get freaked out and feel like its more of a roll of the dice, but the over does seem to hit consistently in Tampa’s games. Chicago has been playing better and have won 3 of their last 5 games away and total, but lets not get too excited; they beat a Penguins team who have not been themselves, a Rangers side who has struggled on the road and a Wild team who are wildly inconsistent at times. If you haven’t already guessed this, I am not a fan of betting on the Blackhawks. I recently said if I was going to bet a Hawks game any time soon it would be against them. Personally, I just see the Bolts as too much of a step up for this Hawks team. Lets not forget the 7-5 loss to the Devils they took only 9 days ago where they let a 4-1 lead slip… Tampa tried to make a come back against the Islanders in their last game after going down 2 goals very early, putting in a 3 goal effort, and I see that loss motivating them to a win tonight. Tampa like winning and haven’t lost 2 games in a row yet this season. Will that change tonight? I doubt it.
3) Leafs ML/Reg- Florida have four wins total at home all season, whilst Toronto haven’t been great on the road they are finally picking up steam. The Leafs dropped their last game to the Coyotes (much to my dismay), but had won their prior 6 games in a row. This team has so much offensive fire power, their 6-0 win against Montreal highlighting what it can do. Am I a little nervous of taking them? Yes, but they know they shouldn’t have lost to the Coyotes and in my opinion are too good to lose to both the Coyotes and the Panthers in succession- considering Panthers allow 3.6 goal per game I see the Maple Leafs getting a fair few.
4) Jets ML/Reg – Winnipeg have won 5 of their last 7, and their loss against a strong Nashville was not entirely shocking. Simply put Nashville have been great at home, and Winnipeg still put up a fight. Now contrast that with the Kings; the Kings have won 1 of their last 6 at home and 1 of their last 6 total. The Kings started the season as a dominant home force but right now they’re limping. Their only win was posted against the Panthers and thats not saying much. With the Kings form I cannot take them, especially due to the fact Winnipeg are being given a generous underdog price.
Below are picks which I am not 100% decided on-
?) Dallas Stars ML/Reg- I feel greedy playing the Stars two days in a row, especially given their road form and their tendency to be inconsistent. However, that being said tonight looks like a good spot for them against Colorado. Colorado are good at home, very good in fact posting only 2 losses all season. That being said, Bernier is in net tonight as Varlamov is ill, and that could sway the edge in Dallas’s favour. —- I would not play large on this pick as I am still considering taking the rested Avalance. Opinions on this would be greatly appreciated.
?) Canucks ML – Canucks paid me out well last night, and I think they have the potential to do the same tonight despite being on the end of a back to back. Vancouver have been great on the road and the Penguins have struggled massively on the offence. Heck, Vancouver beat the Penguins at home just a few weeks back (4-2) , and bearing in mind Penguins were tipped to win that and Vancouver have been BAD at home, besides having less rest why would you not take them? The value here is immense, and again I think the market is underestimating the Canucks.
Other leans-
Arizona ML – The value is why I am considering this one. They’ve picked up 3 wins a in row and are suddenly looking a lot better, meanwhile the Sharks are on a three game losing skid and all loses came against struggling teams – Bruins, Ducks and Panthers. This Sharks team a few weeks ago was rolling, but I feel Arizona actually might manage a home win in this behind a strong Raanta performance.
Golden Knights ML- Again looking at the value. Vegas have struggled on the road, but did pick up a 5-2 win in their last game on the road. Anaheim has been better, but their home wins weren’t all that convincing- they too came against struggling teams in the Panthers and Bruins. Subban might play tonight, and that will give a huge boost to the Knights, who have struggled with Lagace in net. Anaheim have won 4 of their last 5 and that is why I am still weary about picking this- but I have a feeling Vegas offence may power them through to the win here.
In regard to the Preds they’re one of the teams whose games I refuse to personally tip. I’ve lost so many times with them in games just like this where every metric on the planet has them looking like a win. Or the flip side where I back a team to beat them and the Preds win. I just can’t seem to get a good read on them at all. It was like that last season and it’s the same this season.
They really SHOULD dominate the Habs though. Hopefully they do and have a few more convincing results so I can get back to backing them again.
I can understand that, that’s exactly how I feel playing either Blackhawks, Canadiens, and Caps. That being said, as of right now though how can I not back Preds to beat a team who have allowed 14 goals in three games and scored 1 in the last 2.
I like your call on the Preds. When Habs lose, they lose by big margins. Seems like they concede games while Preds can pour it on. Preds are playing with great confidence–won 7 of last 8–especially at home where they have crushed some good teams.
Isles in reg is a good call, unfortunately my bookie site isn’t offering it tonight.
I am taking both Jets and TML to win tonight. I’m staying away from Nucks, Yotes and Wild. All of those teams are inconsistent at best.
I do like the over in the Avs-Stars game
GL SDB
Isles vs Flyers over 5.5 @ 1.94 w/ 2 units
Devils TTU 2.5 @ 2.17

Waiting for Niemi’s confirmation to take Preds PL @ 2.50 with 1 unit.
2 units play landed ?
What a game CBJ vs Flames was!
+22.5 units last night thanks to my scorers ticket.
Tonight:
BlueJackets, Flyers, Avalanche and Coyotes with one unit;
Simmonds, Rantanen and Keller with half unit.
Hello comrades, what do you have to say
on the following teams in Regulation
Predator, Wild and Jckets. Please I need your concern
I would be nervous of Jackets- their offence is only averaging 2 goals a game at the moment whilst Calgary is averaging 3.6 Calgary is also 4-1 in their last 5 .. Preds and Wild I agree with
Agreed on Jackets plus Mike Smith is looking pretty damn good at the moment. I do think Jackets will win – I think they’ve got some confidence going lately – but not enough to tip them and only will be betting them if Bob is in net. The under is very tempting in that one.
I’d take take Flames if it wasn’t their amount of penalties which good for CBJ improve his PP%. They already have a pretty good record on 5on5 goals scored. They will take this one, but the odd is too low for who is facing one of the hottest teams right now as Flames are.
3-0 last night 🙂
Capitals ML 1.71
Stars ML 1.92
Isles 2.00
Sharks ML 1.74
Preds – Habs under 6 1.74
Red wings ML 1.95
Red wings reg 2.55
I am really confident with isles and red wings tonight. Edmonton’s defence was really bad and all over the place last night. Not too impressed by their goaltending either.
I think the odds are good on Stars and Sharks as well. Bishop was on fire last night against the Canadiens who actually played really well but still the Stars allowed just 1 goal. For the sharks it’s a great oppurtunity to come back from a losing streak. Even though Coyotes have won the last 3, I still don’t want to think they’re any better than before. My gut says Sharks are gonna sweep this. Odds are decent aswell.
nice win last night
PL
New York Islanders – Philadelphia Flyers
Islanders in regulation
Tampa Bay Lightning – Chicago Blackhawks
Over (O/U 5.5)
Islanders and Predators – at the regular time.
I’m going to be adding games as I do my research, starting with Flames-CBJ:
Flames ML & TT – Flames are sizzling hot right now and beating some decent teams. I’m a little concerned with their defence but they’ve put 3+ goals and the board in the last 6 of 7 games while CBJ has only put 3 goals up once in the last 6 games. Smith can be up and down and goalie Bob can steal a game but with decent chalk as dogs and TT +106 I have to go with one of the NHL’s hottest teams.
stayed tuned for more…
What about:
New York Islanders vs Philadelphia Flyers – V1 + 4,5
Nashville Predators vs Montreal Canadense – V1 + 4,5
Thougts ?
Flyers ML with 20 units ODD 2.35
Flyers OT with 4 units ODD 4.00
what’s your thinking on this?
20 units? Wow lol
She takes dogs from what I see mostly. She has decent picks..
Ps I hate philly tonight though
tilt
To WIN ML: Detroit, Toronto, Islanders, Tampa, Nashville
OVER: Tampa
UNDER: San Jose
Lean: Vegas to win looks good.
Montreal is on the road on a back-to-back and Nashville has on three days rest. Edmonton is pathetic and on a back-to-back. Edmonton has a very serious depth problem that should require trades to fix. Philly is on a back-to-back, while the Islanders have had two days rest. Vegas is on two days rest and the travel is minimum facing another California team they’d love to thrash.
Taking the CAPS tonight any thoughts thanks..
Geir project 1/8
Panthers-Maple over 5.5
Lightning-Blackhawks over 5.5
Good luck everyone!
Folks , excuse my ignorance. What is the difference in regard to goals scored between ” over 5.5″ in a match and ” over 6″. As the latter odds are always higher ???
Over 5.5 you need 6 goals . Over 6 you need 7 goals 🙂
Over 5.5 means you need 6 goals. Over 6.0 means you get your money back (also called a push) if there’s exactly 6 goals and you win when there’s 7 or more
thanks Nik. That makes sense. Now i understand why the odds are better…had to be a reason…
