Being able to get the Rangers at home for even money is worth small play for me. Even vs a tough team like Boston.
Pittsburgh +108 half unit
Same logic as the Rangers play. Small value on the home underdog.
Sunday

Sticking with the home underdogs. I think Minnesota is getting too much respect based on their potential rather than how they are actually performing. Wild can easily win this game, but I don’t think they should be priced as road favorites vs Detroit. I think Detroit is a momentum team, so they shouldn’t necessarily have a let down off the road win over Boston. After losing the two global series games, they’ve come back to North America with two straight wins over the Devils and Bruins. They should look to stay hot vs an underachieving Wild team going into a Wednesday clash with the Rangers. Wild are 2-6-2 over their last 10, are on a 6 game losing streak and are 2-5-2 on the road. Detroit is sixth in GF/G and gets to face the 31st ranked Wild 3.94 GA/G. Why are the Wild being priced as the favorite exactly?
