It was a nice and easy win for us yesterday.
We had over 6 in the Bruins vs Canadiens game and this went over before the halfway point of the 2nd when the Bruins pounded the Habs 8-1. There’s nothing like winning a tip early to allow you to enjoy watching the game instead of worrying about goals. I mentioned that someone on the Bruins would need to step up and ease the loss of Bergeron and that someone was Charlie Coyle who had a goal and two assists. Pastrnak scored his 2nd hat trick of the season and now has a league leading 23 goals in 24 games this year.
The Wild beat the Devils 3-2 and Wild goalie Kaapo Kahkonen made 32 saves in his NHL debut. This game had some controversy. Boqvist scored for the Devils after Simmonds had played the puck off of a high stick. Boudreau challenged the play and the referees said its an unchallengable play and the goal stayed. The Wild were assesed a delay of game penalty. Then in the 3rd period the NHL put out a statement saying a mistake was made. Just a mess and thankfully for the Wild they still were able to pick up the win.
Our poll question was “Will the Stars beat the Blackhawks?” The Hawks won the game 3-0 ending the Stars win streak at 7 games. Patrick Kane scored and extended his point streak to 13 games. This was the Hawks first shutout this season and for Corey Crawford it was the 26th of his career.
After a slow night of hockey we are back to a busy night with 13 games
Maple Leafs vs Red Wings Betting Tips:
The Leafs had lost 6 in a row, fired Mike Babcock, and have now won 2 straight. They now take on a struggling Wings team who has lost their last 6 games.
The Wings are still without their leading scorer Anthony Mantha who is expected to miss a couple weeks with a lower body injury.
With the Leafs having 3 days off and riding momentum they look good for this game against a slumping and banged up Wings team.
