No games yesterday.

We now have 14 games today.  Some of the games start early thanks to it being the American Thanksgiving.  I need to get these out fairly quickly to give people time to figure out if any of the early games are worth betting on also I am about to drive for a few hours to make sure my kid is on time for her hockey tournament.

Just a heads up, Graeme and I both have plans this weekend so there won’t be any tips on Saturday or Sunday.   We will still post a reminder each day to gove people a chance to post in the comments.

Rangers vs Flyers

Rangers continue to struggle.  They have lost 4 in a row.  I don’t think I can tip them until they get their issues sorted out.

The Flyers are playing better.  They are 6-2-2 in last 10 but still have a losing record at home going 5-6-1 in Philadelphia.

Just tough to tip a game involving the Rangers.

Blackhawks vs Wild

Hawks coming off of that big win against the Stars where Hall scored the hat trick.

The Wild are 6-2-2 in last 10 and shouldn’t have any troubles dealing with the Hawks.

They did play once this season and it was the Hawks winning 2-1 in overtime.  With Hawks coming off of a big win and already winning against these Wild once this season, will they have enough momentum to show up here?

Panthers vs Hurricanes

This should be a good game.

The Panthers are in 2nd in the Atlantic and won their last game which snapped their losing skid at 4 games.

The Canes are in 1st in the Metro, have won their last 2 games but are stilll dealing with goalie issues with both of their starters out.

No faith in Panthers yet and same goes for Canes and their goalie problems.

Canucks vs Sabres

Canucks are 5-5 in last 10 and are in 4th in the Pacific.  The Sabres are 7-3 over last 10 and are in 5th in the Atlantic.

Looking at the last 10 for each team it would look like it’s the Sabres with the advantage.  But at home the Sabres are .500 going 6-6-0 where the Canucks have gone 8-2-0 on the road.

Could make a case for each team here.

Devils vs Wings

Devils 7-3 in last 10 and they are 9-4-0 on the road.  The Wings are 4-5-1 in last 10 and 5-5-1 at home but are riding a 2 game win streak.

The Devils should win but it would have to be at least in regulation which is tough when they are the road team.

Flames vs Jackets

Flames have lost 2 in a row.  3 of their last 5 games needed extra time.

The Jackets are 4-4-2 in last 10 and their last 3 games needed extra time.

This could be a good game between teams that can’t seem to get the job done in regulation.

Lightning vs Predators

Both teams struggling right now.

The Lightning are 4-4-2 in last 10 and 4-5-1 on the road.  The Preds have lost 2 straight, are 3-4-3 in last 10 and 5-6-1 at home.

Can’t trust either team with their issues.

Islanders vs Capitals

Isles are in 7th in the Metro and on a 2 game losing skid.  The Caps have won 2 in a row which was crucial for them to find success with Ovechkin out.

In the last 10 the Isles are 3-4-3 and 5-5-3 on the road.  The Caps are 6-3-1 in last 10 and 7-4-1 at home.  Caps ranked 1st in GPG, Isles 30th.  Caps 8th in GAPG and the Isles are 14th.  Caps better Corsi and Fenwick, shots for and against and goals for and against.

Would have to take the Caps to win in regulation it’s just a tough thing to do with their recent struggles.

Kings vs Ducks

The Kings have lost their last 3 road games and have gone 5-5 in last 10.

The Ducks are 5-4-1 last 10 and 4-6-1 at home.

Looking at the Ducks record at home and over last 10 this could be the game the Kings end their road losing skid.  But I have no confidence in either team so I’m skipping.

Kraken vs Sharks

Nothing here.

Penguins vs Bruins

Penguins are unbackable right now.  They just snapped their 3 game losing skid and have lost 6 of 8 overall.

Bruins are 6-5-2 at home and are 3-1 under new coach Sacco.  They are 11-10-3 this season and in 3rd in the Atlantic.

Not touching the Pens and Bruins haven’t been consistent enough to gather any faith from me.

Jets vs Knights

Odds for this are close.

Jets are in 1st in the Central, are 6-4 in last 10 and 9-4 on the road.  The Knights are 5-3-2 in last 10 and 8-2 at home.

Not sure who wins here as I think this game could go either way.  Both have good records based on where they are playing and both lead their divisions.

Avalanche vs Stars

Avalanche are 7-3-0 last 10 and 6-4 on the road.  Stars are on 2 game losing skid but have been amazing at home going 8-2.

With their losing skid I kind of lean towards the Avalanche here.  But with the Stars just getting thumped by the Blackhawks they will be anxious to get back on the ice and get that horrible taste out of their mouth.

Oilers vs Utah

Both teams won their last game.

The Oilers are in 5th in the Pacific.  They haven’t had the best season compared to what their expectations were.  They are 6-3-1 on the road and 5-4-1 last 10.

Utah wasn’t expected to challenge for the Cup but they have been as good as they were when they were in Arizona.  They are 4-6-0 in last 10 and 4-4-1 at home.

Corsi is close and the Oilers have better numbers in GF, GA, XGF and XGA.  I do like the Oilers chances here just would have to be in regulation which I don’t like as much.
