Hi guys,
Sorry about the delay in tips today. Feeling a bit under the weather.
It was another winning night last night with November off to a nice start. We had the Chicago Blackhawks to win in regulation and they put in the performance we expected.
Of course we’ve seen this before from the Blackhawks and then just as you get confidence in them they disappoint – but hopefully if we’re backing them they’ll continue to stay motivated.
The Penguins ended their winning streak last night with a fighting performance against the Oilers. The Leafs line changes proved right and they got a 3-1 victory on the road in Anaheim.
Busy night tonight let’s see what we got. I actually had a big write-up here on tipping the Caps to win but that’s more of a gut play than anything else. With the odds as well as both teams stats and performances etc – it’d just be irresponsible of me to advise the Caps here. Really the Islanders are a ridiculously great price.
Either way I’ll most likely be kicking myself tomorrow – for not following my gut, or for missing out on one of the most +EV and obvious plays of the season. Sorry again about the lateness of these.
Panthers vs Blue Jackets Betting Tips:
The Panthers are talking about getting tougher and I hope they do just that because penalties usually result in goals and a lot of battling.
The Jackets offense has been hot and cold all season but they usually click against inferior opponents which is what the Panthers are. The Panthers however are a feisty bunch with an offense that also causes teams problems.
The nice thing about the Jackets is they’re doing great DESPITE having the worst PP in the league and that sort of thing usually balances out during the season.
Bobrovsky is tough but the Panthers had no issues getting the pick past Vasilevskiy. Going to back that to continue.

Lightning vs Rangers Betting Tips:
Tampa continue to look incredible. The Rangers don’t. Hell the Knights should have beaten them the other night. Lundqvist pulled off some heroics.
Maybe that’ll turn things around for the Rangers? I’d like to think the Rangers are better than the performances they’re putting out there at the moment. But those losses to the Habs and Sharks show they are still a lot of issues with the Rangers. They’re going up against the hottest team in the league right now – on the road – and I see no other play but Tampa in Regulation.

Flyers vs Blues Betting Tips
Speaking of the top teams in the league, the Blues take on the Flyers tonight.
The Blues are on a 6-0-1 run and are perfect at home.
They’re playing tight and solid hockey going up against a Flyers team who have to be feeling down.
You can’t count the Flyers out. But I’m fine backing the Blues tonight. While they’re confident Yeo seems to be very strict about making sure over confidence doesn’t set in and that’s what I like to hear.

Over Blues and Flyers
Took a beating last night. Luckily parlay 2 helped me to make it only a .5 unit loss.
I love Calgary over Pittsburgh tonight.
For some reason they seem to have the Pens number, and getting a big win over the Caps to snap that losing streak means they want to get on a roll here. No better challenge than to get than the Pens at home.
And from the Pens POV, one win against the struggling Oilers (and responding to the ugly loss against Winnipeg) doesn’t mean they’re now playing well consistently. Yet another B2B on the road for them and 4in6+5in8 to boot while the Flames have sat at home charging the batteries and practicing for this game for a few days.
I have no doubt the Pens will try to bring a better performance tonight than in their last b2b’s, but sometimes the schedule just doesn’t work in your favor. I’ll be surprised if they manage to pull it off.
When teams make the swing through Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver, it’s often three games in four nights, and on the back to backs, the second game in Alberta can be on exhaustion, an easy pick for the home team. Altitude helps the home team, and dry air, plus the time change. I’d expect Calgary to put up a good battle. They’re not a great team, but if ever they should show up motivated, you’d hope it would be tonight to pick off the Pens.

Can’t disagree with today’s tips. Here’s what I like today. I haven’t decided which bets to make but I think they are all solid options.
LVK/Bos over – both teams can pour on goals and have porous Ds and goalies.
NYI/Was over – both teams are over 3+ for GF and GA. nuff said
NYR/Tam over – NYR are leaky but are good for 2+ goals and the Bolts are going to shred NYR defense and Hank
CBJ/Cats over – fast skilled players on both teams are going to send this over. I’d tip Cats but their goaltending is suspect
Buf/AZ over – Both teams allow a lot of goals and have the ability to find the net
Car reg – they are a feisty team who bring it each night and Avs are just horrible.
Cats ML – I like the Cats to win and it’s good odds, but it could be a back and forth game
Jets ML – Dallas is not a great road team and Hellebuyck has been a beast. Riding the hot goalie here
Buf ML & reg – Buffalo brings high compete level each night. Despite injuries they will take it to a depleted Yotes team.
LAK reg – Toronto can’t have much gas in their tank and Kings are well rested.

Whatever oddsmakers determine as over under
usually the base number is 5.5 so over is at least 6 and under is max 5
To WIN: St. Louis and Tampa
Looks like easy picks but while I have a lot of leans, it’s a difficult day for the NHL, and I’m holding off a little. It can be days like this where the parity shows up. Leans might include LA to win, Winnipeg to win, and if Vegas had its regular goalies healthy, I’d pick them, but they’re heavily wounded right now. There should be a way to bet if the Buffalo-Arizona game gets Over or Under 1000 people attending that game.
