We had two tips yesterday and went 1-2.

The win was the Flyers in regulation against the Coyotes.  The Flyers won 3-0 but this was closer than the score board would indicate.   The game was tied 0-0 after the 2nd period.  The loss was the 10th in a row for the Coyotes which still isn’t a club record, they dropped 11 in a row to start the 2017-18 season.

Took the Rangers to beat the Canucks and the Rangers were up 2-0 after the 2nd.  But the Canucks came alive in the 3rd to tie it and force overtime. Where J.T Miller scored his 2nd of the game and won it for Vancouver.  A huge sequence by Demko where he lost both his stick and blocker and still managed to make several kick saves, with his bare right hand behind his back to keep the game tied at 2.

The final tip was the Flames to beat the Predators in regulation if Markstrom played.  Markstrom started and the Predators beat the Flames 3-2 in overtime snapping the Flames win streak at 6 games.

The Habs shutout the Wings 3-0, the Leafs shutout the Knights 4-0 thanks to Matthews 2 goals and Marners goal and 2 assits and the Jets beat the Stars 4-3 in a shootout.

Congrats to the Atlanta Braves who won the World Series last night.   The won with ease 7-0 and Jorge Solar was named Series MVP after he hammered a ball out of the park.  This was the Braves first World Series titles since 1995.

Only 4 games for us tonight.  Let’s get to it.

Predators vs Oilers Betting Tips:

The Predators played last night and won in overtime.  The game before that one, against the Isles, also needed extra time where they won in a shootout.

The Oilers are at home here where they are 4-1 and are 7-1 on the year.

With the Predators playing a back to back and their last 2 games needing extra time I like the Oilers in this game.

The Oilers have won all games but one in regulation so I’ll take them to win that way.

Oilers win in regulation

Canada: 1.80 Odds at Bet365 (Americans: We recommend http://www.bovada.lv
USA: -130 Odds at Bovada
Everyone Else: 1.80 Odds at Bet365 (Americans: We recommend http://www.bovada.lv

Hurricanes vs Blackhawks Betting Tips:

I was close to taking the Canes in regulation but decided to stay away. They have won 8 in a row.

The Hawks won thier first game of the season in their last game and Kane is back and doing Kane things.  Plus they are at home
Again I was leaning towards a Canes regulation win but need to see how the Hawks respond to picking up their first win

Jackets vs Avalanche Betting Tips:

The Jackets are 5-3 and the Avs are 4-4.

The Avalanche are the favorites for this game and to get any value on them we would need to at least take them in regulation.

The Jackets are off to a good start and have 3 games already needing extra time to be completed.   They play again on Saturday so I’ll skip this one.

Blues vs Kings Betting Tips:

The Blues are favorites here going 6-1 so far.   The Kings have gone 3-5-1 but play better at home where they are 3-2.

A tough game to call.   I was leaning towards a Blues win but the Kings have won their last 2 games, both at home, and will have the momentum on thier side

No bets. The NHL gets weird quite often. Four teams were shutout last night, a Tuesday, including Detroit, all visitors. I’m taking time off to dig into why that happened. Tonight’s obvious favorites of Edmonton, Carolina and St. Louis are red-flagged and ripe for disappointment. It’s just a Wednesday.

Just before logging in, I put 1.5u on Oilers reg. Preds on B2B after tough one in Calgary. Forsberg is banged up and one of their top point guys. Rookie goalie on second NHL game facing 97 and 29. Koskinen in net for Oilers. Yeah, planets aligned for Oilers to go 8-1.
