No tips yesterday and only the two games.
In the daily poll, the majority of you felt the Rangers would beat the Red Wings and that that was the best bet of the night. The New York Rangers put in the type of performance that we were expecting them to put in against the Ottawa Senators, as they picked up a big 5-1 win. They don’t have the easiest schedule upcoming so that was a much needed win.
171 people voted Oilers would beat the Blues but the 114 people who voted the Blues would win won out in the upset of the night. Oilers got thumped 5-2. Even without Tarasenko, the Blues are riding a 6 game winning streak which is very impressive.
Interesting looking at the advanced metrics for the Blues as while there was a dropoff on their offense initially, they’re back to looking very impressive again. As an example their xG went down to like 1.21 and 1.67 but last nights was 3.18.
A busy night in the NHL today with 11 games on the board. Should be some good hockey to be had. Tips are a bit late being posted today as it felt like a night of tough decisions. I like to make my picks sometimes then let them sit with me for a couple of hours, then go back and look at them again to see if I feel the same way.
2 plays tonight. Was very close to taking the Preds but haven’t seen enough of them on the road. Despite the injuries, Avs are still racking up the chances and it’d be just like Nashville to let them put the numbers up against them.

Capitals vs Panthers Betting Tips:
These two have had some great games in recent times. Last season all 3 games were thrillers with the Panthers amazingly coming out on top in all 3. 5-3, 5-4 and 6-5.
Banking on another one of those tonight.
The Panthers are a team that are always fighting. That goes back to the last few weeks in the 2017/2018 season when they almost made the playoffs (missing the wild card by 1 point). I remember backing them a lot during that time. They continued that style of play into last season and we’re seeing it again this year.
The Capitals are on a roll. No losses in regulation since October 14th. Offense crushing it. Two of the best offenses in the game and two goalies below 0.9 SV%.
Hard to see anything but goals in this one.

Coyotes vs Blue Jackets Betting Tips:
It was a successful road trip for the Coyotes in Canada as they grabbed 3 out of the 4 points available and they’ll be happy with that.
Now they return home where for the most part they have been good. I’m not completely sold on them or anything but I do like what I am seeing.
Jackets have had a rough season. They’re showing fight in a lot of games but not able to look convincing enough. Their last in regulation win was October 16th!
Their offense is struggling. If they’re able to come alive tonight against the Coyotes then so be it but I think it’s a good spot for Arizona here and we can see a similar result like we did 5 days ago when the Coyotes beat the Avs 3-0.
