7 games last night and I had 2 tips and went 1-1. Although it was close to a perfect night.
I had the Knights to win in regulation against the Sharks which they did 4-1. This was tied until late in the 2nd when the Knights scored twice to take the lead and added another in the 3rd.
The loss was my pick of the Stars to win in regulation against the Blues. The Stars did win but it was in a shootout 2-1. The Stars outshot the Blues 10-3 in the 3rd but couldn’t get one by Binnington.
The Devils beat the Red Wings 4-3 with Hughes scoring twice, the Wild beat the Panthers 2-0 and Gustavsson had 41 saves in the shutout.
The Rangers beat the Sabres 5-1 and Kreider had 2 goals and an assist, the Preds shutout the Kraken 3-0 and the Flyers beat the Jackets 4-2.
A slow night with only 2 games. I won’t have any tips
Coyotes vs Devils Betting Tips:
On paper this is a mismatch.
The Coyotes did make some moves which will make them a better team. How much better remains to he seen. They brought in Kerfoot, Zucker, Bjugstad, Dumba and Durzi. Bringing 8 new players in is a lot for a team to perform right away.
The Devils played last night and won. They are going to be a good team this year and once all of their weapons get going they will be scary.
Would need to take the Devils -1.5 and I don’t feel confident enough in that to make it a play.
Penguins vs Capitals Tips:
These are usually great games to watch. Anytime it’s Ovechkin vs Crosby it’s a good one to tune in to.
The Penguins lost their first game against the Blackhawks. Mrazek was huge for the Hawks in the win.
The Caps didn’t really make and big additions in the off-season. They brought in Pacioretty who may miss a couple months and Edmondson for help on defense. They are counting on having Wilson healthy and bounce back years from Kuznetsov and Mantha.
I’m not sure who wins this game. The Over 6.5 was appealing as these games can fuel themselves into high scoring ones. But the Pens could only get 2 past the Hawks so I feel better just skipping this game.
