A busy day of NHL action for us yesterday with 14 games, it’s the opposite today with only two games. I had two tips yesterday and went 1-1.
I had the Penguins to beat the Flames and they did . The Flames were up 1-0 after the 2nd but the Pens scored twice in the first 41 seconds of the 3rd to take the lead and held on for the 5-2 win. Huberdeau scored his first of the year for the Flames.
The other tip was the Oilers to win in regulation against the Canucks. The Canucks won 4-3. The Canucks are 2-0 to start the season for the first time in 7 years. And the Oilers are probably getting worried about their defensive play but the season has just started and they have time to fix this.
The Leafs beat the Wild 7-4 and Matthews scored another hat trick. The Jackets beat the Rangers 5-3 for their 1st win, the Habs beat the Hawks 3-2 and the Jets came away 6-4 winners against the Panthers. Scheifele had a goal and an assist and fought Tkachuk in the win.
As mentioned above there is only 2 games today. All teams played yesterday and with no really data to go by for back to back games I won’t have any tips.
Lightning vs Sens Betting Tips:
Both played yesterday.
The Lightning lost to the Red Wings 6-4. Johansson faced 41 shots and made 36 saves but the Wings were able to outscored them. Stammer scored twice.
The Sens looked good when they won 5-2 against the Flyers. Tkachuk scored twice and so did Chychrun who also had an assist. I do think that the Sens will be better this year, but I’m not sure them thumping the Flyers is enough for me to back them just yet.
There is decent odds for the Lightning to win, around 2.00, but I’m still avoiding this game.
Hurricanes vs Ducks Betting Tips:
These teams also both played yesterday.
The Canes won 6-5 in a shootout against the Kings that needed 9 rounds and are 2-0 to start the season. The Canes won but only had 19 shots which is only 10 more than they had during the shootout.
The Ducks opened their season last night and lost to the Knights 4-1.
I do think the Canes should win but this is the Ducks home opener which makes this a pass for me. If we were to take the Canes it would have to be -1.5.
