Only 2 games yesterday. It’s crazy having nights with 9 games than 2 games and then 12. I had no tips yesterday.
The Sens beat the Capitals with ease 6-1. Josh Norris made his season debut and scored twice and Stutzle had 3 assists.
The other game was the Penguins vs the Red Wings. Malkin opened the scoring for the Pens but the Sens scored the next 4 goals and won 6-3 thanks to two empty net goals.
12 games tonight.
Predators vs Rangers Betting Tips:
The Preds, much like the last few seasons, are a team that I just can’t back. Their inconsistent play makes them a nightmare to try and predict.
The Rangers are 2-1 but they haven’t faced that strong of competition with wins against the Sabres and Coyotes and a loss to the Jackets.
The Rangers play their next 5 games on the road so they should view this as game they need to win. But it’s the Preds so I’m skipping.
Leafs vs Panthers Betting Tips:
This should be a good game between two teams that aren’t afraid to get rough.
The Leafs are coming into this game after their loss to the Hawks, love it!, but had beat the Habs and Wild before. The Panthers dropped their first two games but picked up a much needed win against the Devils on Monday.
I want to take the Leafs here but with the Panthers making their home debut and picking up their first win this could go either way.
Flames vs Sabres Betting Tips:
The Flames are 1-1-1 and are another team, like the Preds, that are tough to try and predict at this point in the season.
The Sabres blew a 2 goal lead but did pick up their first win when the beat the Lightning 3-2 in overtime.
With the Sabres getting their 1st win they may have momentum but the Flames are just too hard to try and predict so I have to pass on this game.
Canucks vs Lightning Betting Tips:
The Canucks looked brutal in their last game getting shutout by the Flyers 2-0. The loss had coach Tocchet upset “It’s a good lesson,” Tocchet said after the 2-0 loss Tuesday. “Who are we to think we’re anybody?”
The Lightning are 1-2-1 and just haven’t looked very good and Vasilevskiy missing time is really hurting them.
With Tocchet calling them out the Canucks should have a better effort her after getting embarrassed by the Flyers. But it is the Lightning and the know that if they want to win games they have to do it offensively to help their goalies out.
Oilers vs Flyers Betting Tips:
The Oilers picked up their first win when they beat the Predators 6-1. To have them start to heat up offensively is what they needed.
The Flyers beat the Canucks 2-0 and are 2-1. Their schedule gets tougher too with the Stars, Knights and Wild up next after the Oilers.
The Oilers had Draisaitl, McDavid and Nugent-Hopkins all score in the last game so they could go on a run. Against the Flyers they should be able to continue that.

Knights vs Jets Betting Tips:
The Knights are 4-0 so it’s really tough to bet against them at the moment.
The Jets are 1-2 after losing to the Kings in their last game. The game got heated which makes for a fun watch. Vilardi will miss the next 4-6 weeks which will take away some of the offense the Jets need.
Like I said, it’s hard to bet against the Knights right now. But at some point they will lose. The Jets should be anxious to get back on the ice after getting their asses kicked at home.
Coyotes vs Blues Betting Tips:
The Coyotes are 1-2 and are ranked 29th in GPG and 27th in shots on goal. The Blues are 1-0-1 and are ranked 30th in GPG and 28th in shots.
Both teams haven’t had good starts to the season and it’s an easy pass for me.
Kings vs Wild Betting Tips:
The Kings picked up the first win of the season last game. And Dubois scored his 1st of the season. They are a decent team and now that they got the win out of the way they might turn things on.
The Wild got Kaprizov in on the goals in their last game and are 2-1 on the year. With Spurgeon out and now Goligoski they need to play strong defensively as a team.
This is a tough game to call. Both teams are coming off of wins and will be looking to build off of it.
Hurricanes vs Kraken Betting Tips:
The Canes are rolling. They are 3-1 and ranked 1st in GPG with 4.25. They haven’t had the toughest schedule to open the year but they are using it to gain offensive momentum.
The Kraken are 0-3-1 and ranked last in GPG with 0.75. That’s terrible. They were shutout once and scored 1 goal in each of their other 3 losses.
I’m alright taking the Canes to win here the odds are just at our minimum.

Stars vs Ducks Betting Tips:
The Stars are 1-0-1. Both of their games needed a shootout to be decided. A good thing for them though is that Hintz made his season debut and picked up an assist.
The Ducks are 1-1 after beating the Canes and losing to the Knights. They are ranked 9th in GPG with 3.50.
Would need to take the Stars -1.5 and with their results so far and being on the road it’s a pass for me.
Bruins vs Sharks Betting Tips:
The Bruins are 2-0 and have a fairly easy schedule for the rest of the month with games against the Ducks twice and the Hawks coming up.
This is the Sharks last home game before they head on the road for the next 5. They are 0-2-1 and rank last in both shots on goal and shots on goal allowed.
I like the Bruins but would need to take them -1.5. They are on the road and their 2 wins were 3-1 and 3-2 so not enough confidence in them in this game.
Blackhawks vs Avalanche Betting Tips:
The Hawks are 2-2 and should have some momentum after beating the Leafs without Bedard registering a point. This is the Hawks last road game of the trip and make their home debut on Saturday against the Knights.
The Avalanche are 3-0 and must be flying aftert tying the NHL record for consecutive road wins. They are taking the most shots and allowing the 4th least goals per game.
I do like the Avs to win but the odds make this unplayable for me.
Most confidence:
To WIN moneyline: Carolina
To WIN puckline: Colorado
Less confidence:
Full game UNDER 6.5: Arizona/St. Louis
Lean: Oilers WIN on the puckline
Just the idea of betting on Visitors to perform well this early in the season scares me like being 5 years old on your first Halloween Night knocking on strangers doors in the dark and they don’t answer but you hear an angry dog.
Reverse the top two: Carolina puckline, and Colorado moneyline

Taking some Ugly teams so these could backfire. I just consider them to be value plays at the prices they are going at.

dunno if aho will play for carolina. seattle at home. seattle hasn’t had impressive results, but do have some decent expected goals numbers just haven’t cashed.

Wanted to do Colorado MacKinnon shot and goal props over but I feel they are too heavily juiced. Maybe MacKinnon to score 2+ goals +480 for a higher reward lower expectation prop. I do think MacKinnon goes over his numbers here at home if anyone else thinks there’s value at the price. Even though the score doesn’t show it, I think the Avs were kinda lethargic in the Seattle win and I expect a better effort tonight.
I also have Philly +180 half unit when it opened last night. But their odds have went down since, so can’t see any value to recommend them at the +165 last time I checked.
I have 2 games today. I will try to hunt big fishes today.
I will go with blackhawks and sharks win.
I see blackhawks game like bit more predictable than shark’s game. I believe that blackhawks capable to end Avs winning strike.
Sharks are good at start but then they get tired on 3rd round and fall. I assume they learned from these game and they will make some tactical changes. Bruins monster but its NHL.
For shark game I will additionally make 3 additional ticket so one for each round. 1st round Sharks win, 2nd round draw and 3rd round Bruins win. Other than that there will be a single ticket for Sharks win.
