The Avs beat the Ducks 4-3 to pick up their first win of the season. The Jets embarrassed the Sharks winning 8-3 with Pefetti getting 2 and 2. The Canes picked up their 2nd winn of the season when they beat the Pens 4-1.
Woke up today feeling like complete shit. The games start early and I want to go back to sleep. Sorry these are going to be quick today. I’m hoping it’s a 24 hour bug as I can’t put up with another extended sickness. 3 weeks in hospital was enough for me. I’m sorry about this but hoping I’ll be back to normal for tomorrow’s tips.
Lightning vs Senators
The Lightning are playing well and are now 3-0.
The Sens are .500 on the year. Ullmark is expected to start and he has the best numbers amongst the Sens goalies.
Wings vs Predators
Wings are 1-3 and the Preds are 0-4.
The Preds are favored here and I’m not sure why. Staying away.
Oilers vs Stars
Now that McDavid finally scored donthe flood gates open? Either the Stars taking their first loss how do they respond?
Lots of questions about this game and when that’s the case it’s best to avoid.
Knights vs Panthers
Coin toss odds here.
Knights 3-2 and the Panthers 3-2-1. Knights score more but the Panthers take more shots.
Canadiens vs Islanders
I want to see the Habs with a healthy Laine but it’s going to be a while before we see that. They are 2-3 so far and 0-1 on the road.
The Isles are 1-1-2 and have got to be one of the more boring teams to watch.
Rangers vs Leafs
This should be a good game. Both are scoring with the Rangers ranked 1st GPG and the Leafs 10th. They are also playing well defensively with the Rangers 6th in GAPG and the Leafs 4th.
Rangers are 3-0-1 and 2-0 on the road, the Leafs are 3-1-0 and 2-0 at home.
No idea here. I did like the over but talked myself out of it.
Canucks vs Flyers
Canucks picked up their first win of the season so I want to see if it lights a fire under them before I tip them.
The Flyers limped into this game on a 3 game losing skid so avoiding them.
Wild vs Jackets
The Wild are 2-0-2 so they haven’t lost in regulation yet. Kaprizov, Boldy, Rossi and Zuccarello are doing the heavy lifting offensively.
The Jackets are 2-2 and are still flying high as the team builds off of the tragedy the team faced in the off-season.
Both are playing well so this could go either way.
Hurricanes vs Blues
The Canes played last night.
The Blues are 3-2 and are led by Kyrou and offersheet pickup Broberg. They have been playing better than I expected
Canes played so not touching them. Blues look.good and I guess I would lean that way.
Capitals vs Devils
The Caps have won 2 in a row and I’m curious to see how long they can keep it up with the off-season help they brought in.
The Devils are 5-2 and have looked good. Their goaltending tandom is impressive and will help them as the season progresses.
This is the Caps first road game of the season.
Sabres vs Blackhawks
I haven’t seen anything from either team that gives me confidence to tip them. Sure I would love it if the Hawks win but can’t pull trigger.
Bruins vs Utah
Bruins are 3-2 so far but haven’t looked anything like the team they have been the last fee seasons. Utah has been a surprise and a much better team than they were in Arizona.
Flames vs Kraken
The Flames are off to an incredible start. Wolf has been good and even Huberdeau looks strong with 6 points in 4 games.
The Kraken are 3-2 and the got a goal from Wright in their last game. He wants to stay up all season so will be something to follow and see if he has what it takes.

Flames just had 3 days off and Seattle one day. Flames have 4 lines of offense, solid defense and goaltending, take fewer penalties and have a substantially better Powerplay in this matchup. They’re being creative on the ice and are fast. Flames have many new players trying to solidify a role with the team and that won’t wear off this season.
Have to take New Jersey at home vs the Caps. Jersey has played 7 games and the Caps 3 games. That gives Jersey the advantage in adjusting to the new season.
Little time to review games today. O/U and props would take time I may not have.
So Svechnikov scored first today vs Blues minute and a half into the game. Sorry I was a game off smh.
