Well last night was a stressful night of hockey but we came away with a 2-2 night for a profit of over half a unit. We also went 2-0 in the WHL Tips to bring that record to 5-0 for the season.
We went with Stars in regulation but Bobrovsky was awesome making 32 saves for the shutout and the Jackets won 3-0.
The Leafs – Hawks was intense. We had over 5.5 and that came through for us when the Hawks won 5-4 in a shootout. The Leafs were up 4-2 late in the 3rd but in true Leafs fashion they blew it. This was the 3rd straight game where the Leafs had the lead in the 3rd only to lose. Odds on Hawks to win at 4-2 were +1000 and probably went higher. We bet on that and had to laugh when it actually came through. If you want to do live betting during NHL games, we recommend Bet365 (Americans: We recommend http://www.bovada.lv the most.
We had the Blues in regulation against the Flames. Perron scored his third goal at the start of the 3rd and held a 5-2 lead at that point. The Flames then scored 2 of their own. It was stressful finish to the game but the Blues came out 6-4 winners.
Our last tip of the night was the Wild in regulation against the Devils but the Devils tied it halfway through the 3rd and Hall won it in OT.
Only 4 games on today and one of them is the Heritage Classic between the Edmonton Oilers and the Winnipeg Jets from Investors Group Field in Winnipeg. I’m staying away from this game because these outdoor games are hard to predict. If it was indoors we’d probably lean towards the overs.
Coyotes vs Rangers Betting Tips:
The Coyotes had yesterday off so they’ll be rested for this game. The Rangers are 2-2 on the year. Their 2 losses were one goal defeats against the Blues and Wings.
Even with the rest, the Coyotes are going to have the hands full in this one. They have lost 3 in a row and are still without their starter Mike Smith.
The Rangers played last night so they may be tired so I’m going with the over in this game. We debated a Rangers regulation win and statistically it makes sense but we’d like to see how they handle their first B2B first.
Over 5.5

Other Thoughts:
Outdoor games are tough to call so I’m staying away from the Heritage Classic.
The Wild vs Islanders game is expected to be a battle of the backups so I have no idea the outcome.
The Canucks vs Ducks game is also a tough one. The Canucks are on fire right now going 4-0-1 and the Ducks, much like last season, have limped out of the gate going 1-3-1.
licking my wounds today after that awful showing by the Pens. Credit to Preds. Just goes to show how teams can rise to meet adversity. At least Habs came through for me. Lean pickings today for positive odds. Small bets on Oilers side (ML, Reg and 02.5 total) GLTA
Haha yeah it woulda been a lot better if it was a tighter game at least eh? That was an insane game.
Games/bets like that are always a good thing to think back to though when it comes to bankroll management. We speak to so many people who don’t have any sort of management etc and they’ll throw “20 units” or “30 units” around like crazy not caring. We know what it’s like to have a strong opinion on a game like that and that’s why having bankroll management stops it from being a disaster.
Yeah that was a pretty bad performance by the pens. I was pretty sure they would win along with the habs. Reading your post just made me more confident lol. Threw a 100$ on it and was dissapointed. Luckily the Rangers won tonight so went back on my money. Hockey is hockey ehh:)
Jets, Islanders, Rangers and Ducks.
3 on 4, good job!
Jets broke my combine too 🙁
Hi from france . All-in on islanders guys . I see a 2nd victory at home. Good luck
This year I’m trying to pick “strong Home team to win in Regulation” bets – snappy title!
So far 2 out of 3 and a £100 profit.
Last night had Rangers in regulation.
Always love hearing about betting systems/strategies etc. What qualifies a team as “strong”? Do the opponents and odds factor in at all?
