It was a bad night with the tips yesterday as went 0-1 with a push.
We had the Oilers to beat the Wild but the Wild won 3-0. They had a great 1st period scoring all of the goals in the game during the first frame. Staal scored twice which were his first two goals of the season.
Our push was the tip of over 6 in the Penguins vs Panthers game. This game looked like a complete loss after the 1st period when it was tied 0-0. 3 goals per period after that and the game ended with a 4-2 win for the Panthers hitting 6 for a push.
The Bruins beat the Leafs 4-2 and for the Leafs this was their second loss in a row and are now 5-4-2 in the year. Matthews called out the team after the loss. No Tavares is hurting the Leafs right now and they need someone on the team to take control and it looks like Matthews is going to be the one.
The Caps beat the Flames 5-3 and Carlson scored twice. He now leads the league in points and is just the 4th defenseman ever to have 20 points in the month of October. The Caps play 3 more times this month and Carlson is only 5 points back of Al MacInnis who holds the record at 25 points.
The Canucks had a huge comeback win against the Red Wings. They were down 2-0 after the 2nd and then they came alive. They scored 5 times in the 3rd, including a hat trick from Bo Horvat, and won 5-2.
For the poll question yesterday we asked “With the World Series starting, who is your choice to win it all?” With 47% of the vote it was the Astros as the winners. Same here. But my reason is Astros starter Justin Verlander is married to Kate Upton and she is a lot of fun to look at.

Game Analysis:
Red Wings vs Senators
Tough game to call. I would say that the Wings have the edge in this one but they did play last night and blew a 2 goal lead. Both teams are on losing skids, the Wings 5 the Sens 4. Just too many questions to make a bet on this game.
Penguins vs Lightning
I initially wanted to go with the Over here. But its 6.5 and both teams are playing poorly offensively at the moment. The Penguins are on a 2 game losing skid and have scored only twice during it. The Lightning have scored more than 3 times only once in their last 4 games and that one needed a shootout. Just not a fan of anything here. I’m sure that with me avoiding the game it will hit like 12 goals but so be it.
