Well the winning streak stopped last night for the NHL tips as we finished going 0-2.
Had the Penguins vs Capitals game going Over 5 but it only hit 4 when the Pens won 3-1. The Penguins are having some problems scoring goals but it was Fleury coming through for them making 33 saves in the win. The win for the Penguins snapped the Capitals streak at 4 games.
The other loss on the night was when we had the Sens to win in regulation against the Flames. Ottawa did win but they did it in the shootout. With the win, the Sens avoided starting a season 0-5 at home for the first time in team history.
We did win our OHL tip for the night when we had over 6.5 in the Saginaw Spirit vs Flint Firebirds game. Saginaw beat Flint 5-3 to cover the 6.5.
For tonight we have 8 games scheduled which is much better than the 3 from last night. Let’s get back to having a winning night with the NHL Betting Tips for Thursday, October 29th.
Hurricanes vs Islanders Betting Tips:
The Isles have had a great start to their year. They have won 6 of their last 7 games and ride a 2 game win streak into this game.
The Hurricanes have had trouble scoring goals this year and are ranked 28th in the league averaging only 1.89 a game.
Isles are on fire and playing at home where they’re 4-1-1 on the year.

Canadiens vs Oilers Betting Tips:
After having their 9 games winning streak snapped, it will be interesting to see how the Montreal Canadiens respond.
The Oilers are banged up missing some key players and limp into this game on a 3 game losing streak. Before the 3 losses, they had won 3 in a row but before that they had lost 4 in a row.
I think the loss will inspire the Habs. They now have their first loss of the year out of the way and realize that this is a long season and still have room for improvement.
Canadiens win for 1.71 at Bovada for Americans and http://www.Bet365.com for everyone else.
Blackhawks vs Jets Betting Tips:
The Hawks are on a 4 game win streak including having won their last 2 games 1-0 in OT thanks to early OT goals by Toews in both games. The Hawks are winning despite not having Duncan Keith who will miss 4-6 weeks after knee surgery. Keith is one of the best defensemen in the league and a huge part of the Hawks team.
The Jets have allowed plenty of goals recently including 4 straight games of 4 goals against. The Hawks need to and will get back to scoring against a struggling Jets squad.

Going to go with a rather risky bet today of Kitchener Rangers
-1.5. They are +160 there which is solid value but it’s always
risky taking a road team with a handicap. Kitchener however have looked
exception on their current run and in their last 5 road victories have
won by at least 2 goals. They know how to put away a game.
Peterborough are on a bad run at the moment and although they’re at home
they currently are in the bottom 5 when it comes to performances at home.

You’re right about the OHL. I’m still learning the differences between the leagues. No salary cap means a bigger gap between the top & bottom teams. I lost an NHL bet the other day and I looked at the OHL games. Sure enough Kitchener was on a 8 game winning streak playing Saginaw who were playing 3 games in 3 nights so the timing was perfect and Kitchener won. Put me back in the winning column. Go Rangers!
The OHL reminds me a lot of the WNBA back in 2006-2008 when I first started betting/tipping that. No-one else was doing it and it was so ridiculously soft.
I wouldn’t classify OHL as “ridiculously soft” – but there’s obviously a lot of value in the lines. I believe that Flint/Saginaw line yesterday for example was 6.5 instead of 7.5 due to the previous games between the two, and very little other factors.
Will warn you the variance can be brutal though with this caliber of hockey. I do believe it is winnable long-term though.

Thanks for the warning G. Looks like the coaches for the Hurricanes & Avs are throwing their games tonight starting Lack (weak stats) & Varlamov ( terrible stats) Ironically, they’re playing each other tomorrow. Think the Habs know they have to bounce back tonight if not for pride but a psychological lift. Good luck tonight!
