Well the winning streak ended for us with the tips but we still went 1-1.
We had the Oilers vs Hawks game to go over 6 but this game ended in a 2-1 Oilers win in OT. This game started out good and looked like the Over had a chance when the teams traded goals in the 1st. But the goals stopped there. Less than a minute into overtime and McDavid scored for the Oilers for the win.
We had went with the Sharks to win and we had said that the Ducks and their losing streak had us a little nervous and felt better going with a win including OT/SO. It was a good thing we did as the Sharks won 4-3 in OT.
The Golden Knights beat the Sens 4-3 in OT on a penalty shot. The Kings beat the Rangers 4-3 and in his first action of the season Dustin Brown scored for the the Kings. The Wings won their first home game of the season when they beat the Stars 4-2 and despite taking 39 shots the Canes came up short against the Isles 2-1.
A slow night of NHL action tonight with only two games. I could only come up with one tip.
Flames vs Maple Leafs Betting Tips:
The Flames limp into this game on a 3 game losing streak. The had a better effort in their last game, a 4-3 shootout loss to the Caps, after getting destroyed 9-1 by the Penguins before that.
The big news surrounding this game is the injury to Auston Matthews. He will miss at least 4 weeks with a shoulder injury. This would be a huge blow to any team in the league and it will hurt the Leafs too but they have depth at the forward position to ease the pain of losing one of the best players in the league. Kadri will fill in for Matthews on the top line between Marleau and Marner.
The Leafs are a deep offensive team and with Matthew’s missing at least a month they should treat this as an opportunity to show that. I think the Leafs are eager to show the league that, yes it will hurt without Matthews but they can still be a top team without their young star.
