A horrible night last night as we went 0-3 and it was me and Graeme teams responsible for 2 of the losses.

We had over 5 in the Blackhawks vs Jets game and it ended in a 3-1 Jets win.  The Hawks took 46 shots but Jets goalie Michael Hutchinson was up to the the task stopping 45 of them for the win.

We had the Habs to win against the Oilers but the Oilers stormed back to win 4-3.  Montreal was up 3-0 after the 1st only to let Edmonton score 4 unanswered, including the winner with 1:02 left, for the win.  Leon Draisaitl made his season debut for the Oilers and scored twice.

The last tip was the Islanders in regulation against the Hurricanes.  The Isles led 2-1 after 2 periods but the Canes scored in the 3rd and won it 3-2 in OT.

Here is our weekly interview with the online sportsbook Sports Interaction, Canadas #1
sportsbook:

BetNHL.ca:  Everyone was focused on the Habs and their streak.
Obviously that’s gone now but what other streaking teams do you think
people are ignoring?

Sports Interaction: There are
quite a few hidden gems.  The big one is the Nashville Predators who
have started the season with an excellent 7-1-1.  They’re a really nice
combo of experience and youth and really fall under the “solid but
unspectacular” description.  There’s not many highlight reel finishes
for them but they’re really doing the business.

BetNHL.ca:  WTF is going on with the Ducks?

Sports Interaction: You can blame
bad luck and poor bounces but you can’t blame it forever.  The Ducks are
being outworked, they’re being outskated – and you have to wonder what’s
going to happen there.  Most people are just saying “Well it’s the
Ducks” and expect them to turn it around eventually but you have to
wonder – their grind it out style just isn’t getting them the results
anymore.  They’re going to have to get the results soon or we’ll see big
changes in Anaheim.

BetNHL.ca:  There was a lot of excitement over the Penguins
offensive line but they haven’t delivered as much as people would expect
so far.  Thoughts?

Sports Interaction: The Penguins
vs Sabres game was only the first game of the season for it to go over
the total which is crazy.  High scoring hockey just doesn’t seem to be a
thing in Pittsburgh.  The problem is depth is very important but the
Penguins are very top heavy and are relying on the likes of Crosby,
Malkin and Kessel.  When they aren’t clicking – the others just aren’t
stepping up.

Alright let’s snap this streak and get back to winning with the NHL Betting Tips for Friday, October 30th

Flyers vs Sabres Betting Tips:

Both of these teams took the loss last night.  The Flyers already lost to the Sabres earlier this week so revenge is going to be on their minds.  Before their loss to Buffalo, Philadelphia had won 4 of 5 games.  They’ll try to snap the losing skid against the team that started it.

Flyers win for 1.74 at Bovada for Americans and http://www.Bet365.com for everyone else.

Blue Jackets vs Capitals Betting Tips:

After starting the season 0-8, the Jackets have won their last 2 games and will look to make it three tonight in Washington.

The Caps lost to the Penguins on Wednesday night which snapped their winning streak at 5 games.

This should be a great game with one team trying to fix their horrible start to the season and the other trying to get back into the win column.

Over 5.5 for 1.91 at Bovada for Americans and http://www.Bet365.com for everyone else.

Avalanche vs Hurricanes Betting Tips:

Both teams played and won last night.   These teams played on the 21st of October and Carolina won 1-0.  This is the last time they play each other this year so the Avs will be looking to not be swept in the season series .

The Avs are a strong team and I’m not sure what has happened to them.  I still think they’ll turn things around and be a playoff team this year.

Avalanche win for 2.15at Bovada for Americans and http://www.Bet365.com for everyone else.

OHL Betting Tips:

We improved our OHL record to 4-0 last night with a
huge +160 win.  We had the Kitchener Rangers -1.5 on the road and they
duly delivered with a 7-2 thrashing of the Peterborough Petes.

The lines for tonights OHL aren’t out yet.  If we have any bets for that
tonight we will post on our Facebook page.  The earliest game is at 7pm EST so
we’ll have the tips up if there are any no later than 5pm EST.

Congrats on the Rangers win. Just checked bodog and the’ve posted the OHL lines. Tough btob for the Petes. First game against the high powered Rangers and tonight they play the 1st place Kingston Frontenacs. Kingston’s had 4 days off and a good home record but the Petes are trying to end their losing streak so you never know..,,

Taking the Rangers again tonight. Rangers -1.5 they are +185.

I try and stay away from Frontenacs if I can honestly as I “know too much” so that tends to sway my opinion on them. Petes are always up for this game. I would lean towards Fronts sneaking it but they are -220 and if memory serves me correctly they’ve only won by 2 or more ONCE this season. So can’t rely on them for the handicap.
