It was another winning night yesterday to make it 5 winning nights in a row for us with the NHL Tips! Graemes non-NHL Tips posted on Monday came in yesterday as well, with a 1-0 win in the KHL and a 2-1 win in the Czech Extraliga.
Our first tip was the Bruins to beat the Sharks in regulation and they did winning 5-1. Krejci returned from an injury and had a goal and an assist and David Pastrnak scored his 12th which leads the league. The Bruins were the far better team here outshooting the Sharks 41-17.
The other tip we had was the Predators to beat the Blackhawks in regulation and they won 3-0. Bonino scored all 3 goals for the Preds and Rinne had his 2nd shutout in a row. This was the Hawks 5th loss in their last 6 games.
The Leafs vs Caps game was a good one. These teams each scored a goal in each period and it was the Caps winning 4-3 in overtime. Ovechkin had 2 goals and 2 assists and Carlson scored twice. Carlson finished the month 2 points behind Al MacInnis for most by a defenseman in the month of October.
For our poll question we asked that with a rare Over/Under of 5, would the Wild vs Stars game go over or under? With 59% of the vote Over was the choice and it was the right one when the Stars won 6-3. The Wild had a 3-0 lead late in the 2nd but the Stars came alive. Radulov scored a hat trick and the team scored 5 times in the 3rd to pick up the come from behind win.
We have a decent schedule for tonights games with 6 taking place. But as far as tips go we are having a tough time finding any. Be sure to discuss in the comments section and maybe something will show up.
