Down 2-0 in the series, The New York Islanders had to make a big statement when they took on Tampa in Game 3. Big statement it was as their offense finally got going and they ran out 5-3 winners which we correctly predicted.
Vasilevskiy pulled off 31 saves in that one but it wasn’t enough as the Islanders went to town.
The next game between the two is one we’re looking forward to.
We turn our attention to Saturday now and the Stars vs Knights.
Dallas leads the series 2-1 with victories in Game 1 & 3. They won the last one 3-2 in OT.
Despite leading the series they are still underdogs in this one at about 2.55.
Here’s our thoughts:
Stars vs Knights Game 4 Betting Tips:
Graeme: I am highly conflicted on this one. First – based on the way the games have gone so far, I think there is clearly value in taking the Stars. They have proved to be a match for the Knights and while I’d say Knights should still be slight favourites – they’re way too heavy at that price.
On the flip side – I do think the Knights take this one. They’re the better team and this is a big game that I think they can tie it up. However I just can’t bet on them seeing how close the series is.
I’m going to go with a player prop. Benn was the star last time out and I think the Knights will do a better job at shutting him down here. I’m going to go with Under 2.5 shots for Benn.

Scott: They traded goals in game 3 and in overtime Radulov scored to give the Stars the 3-2 OT win and a 2-1 series lead.
The Stars are just a team that has been underestimated by me during these playoffs. I thought they would have lost to the Flames and they didn’t. I thought for sure they would have lost to the Avalanche but again they didn’t.
Now they have a 2-1 lead against the Knights who I thought would have won this series with ease.
If the Stars can move onto the next round then they are a deserving team. But I think the Knights are up for a win as they have traded wins up to this game. The odds for a Knights win falls below our minimum and after last game I’m not confident in betting them in regulation. Marchessault had 2 shots in game 1, 4 shots in game 2 but only 1 shot in game 3. I expect him to show up for this game as they need all hands on deck to avoid falling behind 3-1.
