There is life in the Philadelphia Flyers!
The Flyers took it to OT and were able to overcome the New York Islanders to force a Game 6. Still going to be a big task for the Flyers but it was nice to see.
The Canucks vs Knights game saw the Canucks win 2-1 as Thatcher Demko stepped up for the Canucks, making 42 saves. That was crazy and came out of nowhere and big props to Demko for that. Really cool to see.
Tonight we have just the one game as the Colorado Avalanche take on the Dallas Stars.
Every game between these two has been fantastic and must-watch and hopefully that continues tonight.
In 5 games, the two teams have combined for a whopping 43 goals or 8.6 goals on average per game.
8.6!!!
Let’s hope that continues tonight.
Stars vs Avalanche Betting Tips:
Graeme: Obviously going with the over the is the obvious play considering it’s still set at 6 goals. With both offenses firing on all cylinders and neither team seemingly able to stop the puck going into the net it really feels like a no-brainer bet. And if one team puts up a defensive clinic or has a goalie randomly step up like Demko last night – welp; that’s hockey.
In terms of goals scored there really isn’t any big consistency in regard to periods.
Looking at player props I don’t see any real consistency there considering we’ve no idea how this game will go. At least nothing bet-worthy. Landeskog over 2.5 shots probably seems like a good bet.
I’ll go with Over 6. Like I said if it doesn’t happen I won’t lose any sleep over it. No real reason not to. Sometimes you do feel like “this sort of goalscoring can’t continue” and I have a weird feeling in my gut today this ends up being a quiet affair – but with the data so far and the current odds it’s gotta be a +EV bet.

Scott: The Avalanche went off in the 1st period of game 5 scoring 5 goals in the period and held on for the 6-3 win. Bishop got the start for the Stars for the first time since game 2 of the first round and allowed 4 goals and got pulled. The Avs went with Michael Hutchinson with Grubauer out and he picked up the win.
The Stars may go back to Khudobin for this game as it seemed like Bishop has some rust to sort out.
With their backs still against the wall I expect the Avalanche to put up goals. This has been a high scoring series so far so I’ll back that and go with the Over for this game. Each game of this series has gone over 6.
